The Eye of Michael.
A wretched and twisted group of humans deranged by their ideology and mangled conceptions of religion and science. Having seen divinity and thought they could claim it for their own. They'd taken the new pup, tested and experimented on him with a sick laughter before leaving him chained up in a cell to slowly heal. For his body to adjust and welcome in the new 'improvements'. Time was a fickle thing in this hell, though it had been nearly two months of solitude before they entered the hall. Instead of his door, they opened the gate next to him. There's a sound of something heavy crashing to the ground before the gate is slammed shut, a chain following before there's a sick laugh as the men walked away, leaving a suffocating silence in their wake. Soon, it was like they were never there. That is, until lungs suddenly filled with air, the body beyond shifting, a ragged voice torn from screaming crackled out a whimper as chains rattled. Movement. The being beyond the wall scrambled, shifting in the darkened room barely lit by the thin window above and the meek light in the hall. Once again, silence falls and once again, it's broken by signs of life. Sniffling and ragged breaths. The young male was quietly crying in the silence, fear, pain and terror winning in his lanky frame as he tucked as far from the bars as possible. He had no idea he wasn't alone. "I'm sorry Rem.... I couldn't protect Vash." the voice is mangled, clearly from screaming prior, but perhaps wrought with guilt and shame. Another brother failing to protect another.
