The Mountain Men held her friends captive and she didn’t know what to do. Anya was one chance she had and that was over before it could even start. There was no time to point fingers, not when she still had to come up with a plan to save her friends. When Bellamy had announced that Finn was looking for her, her brows furrowed. Raven would be with him-- no doubt, and they didn’t know what those mountain men were capable of. The fear that her friends were in danger only caused her to become restless, which is why when Octavia took stance and led the way, Clarke didn’t argue. Neither did Bellamy--in which she was grateful for.
Clarke lost count of how long they had been walking. While the Blake siblings were talking amongst themselves, Clarke’s thoughts were on Raven and Finn. Raven with her brace-- Finn with his desperation, that was never a good combo, not with the men she had just face on experienced. They were keeping her people locked up and she needed to get them out. They were going to fail, and that feeling only crept in making it harder for her to keep at a slow pace, but within a distance she heard shouting, followed by a gun shot. Clarke tensed before looking at the siblings. Bellamy took lead this time as they ran towards the sounds, and Clarke didn’t slow down even after they approached the village.
From the looks of it, a shot had gone off, but there in the middle between the grounders and Finn stood Raven, trying to ease the tension before it became worse. “Finn! Raven!” Clarke found herself calling out as if that would stop them. As if that would assure their safety-- it would put her friends at ease, that much was obvious, but the grounders would also know that they came with guns as well. Rather than saying much, she allowed Octavia to take the lead in hopes of assuring them that they weren’t the bad guys.
