Ok the numbers are in. From 2015 to 2018. My net worth has increased by 46%. 💶 I had planned on it being higher but our lives have changed so much in that time frame. In fairness we’re coming from a decent base. 💶 We bought a house, moved jobs, both kids were in full time child care and there were several unexpected large expenses. Then again that is life really, isn’t it. And this year I stepped back from the 9 to 5 to spent more time with my family. They’ll be all grown up before independent before I know it. 💶 Even after all of that we still managed to keep a good savings and investing rate and constantly improve the bottom line. 💶 The main thing that I love about net worth is that it is the result of what we’ve built. It is ours to keep for the long term. It’s what I see as the result of paying myself first and is not owed to anyone. It is ours and what we have to show for all the hard work. 😊 💶 I’m currently working on my numbers for next year and the aim is to accelerate the growth through ‘my year of less but better. ‘ I can see some life changing things coming from this.
