picture of the day: When I was younger, I wanted to be an artist. I would draw on everything-- notebooks after notebooks, secret etchings on school desks, the sinking sand, and on my hands (which ended when someone told me you could die from ink poisoning if you drew on yourself too much). But my parents didn't have extra money to an art center, and so I focused on my studies instead. I'm thankful for this though, as I continued to grow more in love with words and the power it has to move and transform. But I still love drawing and pictures and ink smudges. Heho
