"You know what the worst thing about being a line cook is?" Foster sighed, leaning on the table, resting his chin on his arms. "It's that I almost never feel like cooking for myself at home."
badger & boar pub ! ( open for — @nottinghillstarters )
one beer, two beer, shot… already striker’s eyes were subject to double-vision, a phenomenon near impossible to navigate thanks to his left pupil’s tendency to wander on its own accord. the magic of his evening? not one drink had been paid for out of pocket. half-guzzled pint glasses had been swiped from abandoned tables, the dregs of downed shots poured to the back of his throat, the odd sip of whiskey from a bottleneck swiped from behind the bar. over the years of empty pockets and a hankering for booze the oldest cannon had invented genius ways of getting hammered for nothing more than a flutter of his eyelids.
with a nudge, the male gestured to a glittering bottle of vodka, gold flecks nestled at the bottom of the glass, sitting pretty beyond the counter. those drinks were reserved for the christmas celebrations, the birthday drinks, the post-lottery wins; surely they could never afford even so much as a whiff. “dare you to grab that pretty lil’ thing up there,“ his voice was a gravelly whisper, loud enough just so his counterpart could hear over the hubbub, “i suddenly got a hankerin’ for the yellow stuff.“

"You good if I sit here?" Gabe wasn't giving them much of a choice, the place was packed and he had an essay he needed to finish, his own place complete chaos right now. A moment later he dropped down a pile of books, letting a sigh go heavily. "What is going on today? Where did everybody come from?"
✩ LOCATION: the library , probably or a coffee shop if you don't have anyone who would be in the library ✩ STATUS: open ! @nottinghillstarters
SHE’S MUMBLING A BIT TO HERSELF , the frustration so clear in her tone as her hand writes rapidly across unlined paper — charts decorating it’s entirety . she keeps looking at the book , writing more down , little notes in the corner that she’s certain only she could decipher . she’d been so lost in her head , that she didn’t realize she’d sat in the seat where someone’s bag had already been behind the chair , meaning it had likely been claimed , so when footsteps interrupt her thinking process , she looks up , a bit frazzled , ‘ oh god , i am so sorry , were you sitting here ? ‘

Elbows take the weight of the entire day, as they slump forward against them, eliciting a long-winded sigh. They crane their neck to the person sitting beside them. 'Did you hear about the stock market? They ran out of stock. I've lost millions of dollars. My wife left me.'
open starter / location: skate me out tonight (@nottinghillstarters)
pari looks up at the wall of skateboards in front of her, "could you see me skating?" she asks the other. "maybe i'd get into it, if i could have a pink skateboard" pari had always been a girly girl, with pink being her favourite colour.

Lorna had never been so tired in her life, not only was she on a late shift but her neighbours were having guests over so she only managed to get a few hours of sleep. Thankfully the coffee she got was giving her a boost of energy that she needed to do shopping that day. She had been looking down at the list she had scribbled down before she left and hadn't noticed the other until she looked up for a second. "Oh I didn't realise how packed it was, need to sit down? I don't mind."
