Laura’s feelings for Logan changed drastically over time. Her first instinct when learning about the other was to urge him to put an end to the Wolverine, positive that them being in or out of the Weapon X program didn’t matter, the murderous tendencies that were engrained in their minds set to be their downfall. But as time passed and she began to learn more about him, his life, and their family grew, she wouldn’t have it any other way. “So,” she says flatly, her gaze stern although there’s a hint of a smirk forming to her lips. “What are you going to do about it?” It’s only humorous because Logan was just as hard on Laura for no other reason but because he cared. Laura only hoped she could do the same for him.
While Logan had run out of ideas and was just as close to running out of patience with himself; he had never intended to discuss the problem with Laura. It was not because he didn’t trust her to be fair, honest or by any means choose sides, but because he didn’t want to burden her with his own problems. Specially not after what she recently experienced because he failed to protect her. But it was the calmness in her words and hint of a smirk on her lips that caused him to admit his defeat. “Theres not much else I can do besides stay outta his life like he asked. Thats a relationship I fucked up beyond repair but I’m too stubborn ta quit.”
