re the writing game, im interested in anything involving the Spire but IOCT Aftermath sounds esp interesting! ^v^
(For the WIP question game. Thanks for the ask!)
Ah! That’s another older one that I still poke at from time to time. Like a large chunk of the things that I write for my own entertainment, it’s self-indulgent hurt/comfort. xD
Anything more than that requires a good chunk of context, though.
“Infinite OCT” was a ‘practice’ original character tournament that I joined freshman year of high school. The idea was that people could join and drop out as they wished; losers would not be eliminated, and were instead paired against one another. Both comic and written entries were allowed.
It went dead pretty soon after I joined; I only managed an “audition” and most of the first round before things petered out.
My plot was that the characters of the Spire had been mysteriously shapeshifted into almost-humans, and Linast thought the tournament might hold the answers to fixing that. Clemcy was around and meddling. (If you want to read kid-me’s even angstier characterization of Linast, simplistic characterization of Clemcy, + all sorts of thoroughly outdated designs and Spire concepts, my entry is still available on deviantart.)
It also contains some of the few comic pages that I’ve ever completely finished! So that’s kind of neat at least.
[Image description: Parts of comic pages in which Linast, in human form, is teleported into a monochrome park and promptly falls into the water in a canal with a yelp. He hauls himself out of the water with his magic, coughing and sputtering, and complains, “N... not your best work, Diamond." End description.]
Anyway! IOCT Aftermath is, contrary to its file name, not about the aftermath of the IOCT. xD It’s actually about the other side: what the people left in the Spire are getting up to while Linast is gone.
More specifically, it’s focusing on what’s going on to keep Diamond from getting back in touch with Linast after sending him to the tournament.
It’s mostly an excuse to write Diamond and Millie interacting with one another (Spire’s on lockdown and they’re somewhat isolated), which is fun! They’re a bit awkward, and Millie genuinely does not know how to Social. But they eventually default to memory games and singing with one another to pass the time and it’s hilarious to me, hah.

Thanks for the interest! ^_^ (...I’m gonna break the ‘one sentence’ thing in favor of capturing a whole idea a;lskdfj.)
There was a rush, wasn’t there? Space couldn’t remember. There damn well had better be a rush, though, or he was going to lay right back down and refuse to move at all for a week.
For the doodles if you're still doing them, maybe a creature based on hummingbird moths! Or any of my cores only if you're in the mood!!
Hummingbird moths are the goofiest little things and I adore them and their silly little shrimp tails. :D So uh. I just drew a straight up hummingbird moth, because they are cute and soft as-is and I didn’t feel like redesigning that.
Also drew an angry Calidyte, because she seemed like she’d be fun and satisfying to scribble out with my fountain pen! I was correct.

Thanks for the doodle prompt!
