THEMES OF RISE (Spoilers) Good intentions dont always end well (Add more if you feel like but here is my take) So I just recently finished the novelization od descendants two so I can say more on this lol. 😜 To get started: one thing in rise if the isle of the lost is show how Uma feels towed Mal and her being chosen to be taken off the island instead of her. Ben had good intintions to take the kids in but, he neglected the other kids I his thoughts wanting just to focus on the four for the time being. Doing this obviously upset Uma and probably more VKs. We look at Dizzy and see she dreamt of leaving the island with Evie yet when Ben came she was left. She didnt know (like Uma) if she was ever going to get away. And then when she got Ben official letter she was so happy. We see that in the mobilization. She took the fairytale path unlike Uma. Ben took in VKs but forgot the others for a period of time. He ment we and it didn't end up well for all. Now he has Uma to deal with. Another example is Mal at the end of Rise she chooses to change herself to fit in as a present to Ben before giving up her spell book. In the D2 we see she is cramming good manners and stressing and going crazy. She has a melt down and goes back to the isle. She did something great but it ended up in Ben getting kid napped. But eventually everything straightens out because she had the support of her friends. [Although I feel Mal wouldn't have gone back with them if she hadn't .....] Now in D2 Ben talks with Uma trying to reason with her and see things with her. He sees his mistakes. His good intintion was showing how kind he was and saying she could come to Auradon. (This one with Ben is fuzzy so I might get a thing or two wrong). She does and come and take advantage of his kindness. Thats what goes sour with his good intintions. (I feel like I got this wrong so just add what you think to the post.) Rising (You can look at my other post for a deeper on this) Although I didn't mention this on the other post. Thus book showed the rise of Hope the AKs are putting in the VKs. Though its more of trust. And acceptance. Hope I dont really know how to Do this one but, it also has to do With the whole Uma and Rise post. If you want more on this just Dm me.
