Its OverlordNeon here, I’m the artist for Sadzombiegirls!

I know this blog hasn’t been active in a long while and I still get messages asking when/if SZG is ever returning, especially with TWDG s3 and TLOU 2 both confirmed. There was just a lot of reasons why I just wasn’t able to keep up with the daily pace of running this blog while I was still in college and looking for a stable job and I even kinda vanished completely for a while, and firstly I wanted to apologize for that. I know it was something I had to do for my own sake but it really was unfair to you guys to leave without a word.  I really am sorry.

Those who have been following my main art blog will know that I recently started my own original comic and patreon alongside it, something I’ve been wanting for years now, even before I started Sadzombiegirls.  Its an fantasy adventure comic called M.Y.T.H. and if you like SZG, mythological creatures and a diverse cast of lgbt+ characters this is probably something you’d enjoy. Still, even after starting MYTH I never stopped wanting to do some more SZG again but had no idea how to start.  But I finally figured out how.  

My second goal on Patreon right now is to earn 70$ a month, and if I can reach that goal then I can justifiably bring sadzombieigirls back and not just as an ask blog, either.  My most popular posts were always the lengthy, emotional comics and I feel like that’s what I’m best really best at. I can really make you nerds cry, and I still have stories and ideas with these two I can make. Also, now I don’t have to draw everything from an ipad anymore so itll be lookin much better on return. In short: If you’d still really like to see this crossover blog continue, or just want to support this old gay fanartist you might’ve admired before.  Please, seriously consider becoming a supporter on patreon for as little as $1 a month!  I’m still adding more rewards but you can also win art from me at the end of every month in my patreon raffle, and you can read MYTH to pass the time!

Ahhh, It’s finally happened.  I’ve finally went and launched my own Patreon page just a bit ago!  CHECK IT OUT HERE

I’m only just starting out so I have very small goals right now but some pretty big rewards. Everybody who becomes a Patron gets entered into my monthly drawing request raffle. At the end of the month- the winners can request any two characters for me to draw for them! You can request them either separately or as a pairing for all ya shipping reasons. Basically, you can get a 15$ commission just for becoming a 1$ patron so its not a bad deal imo. (since I’ve only just started Patreon, there’s basically no competition either. So first to sign up this month have the best chance to win if you join before the end of February!!)

So basically, I’ve starting some serious work on my own original webcomic, M.Y.T.H. which I’ve been slowly writing since way back in 2012 when I first came up with the two main characters. It’s the story of a Men in Black-styled organization of mythological creatures and a human girl that gets wrapped up in it all. Its a bunch of classic cartoony adventure with a diverse lgbt+ cast of characters and tons of world-building. Each and every monster is based off of actual mythological creatures from all around the world. 

For anyone that was a big fan of my sadzombiegirls blog & any of my other fan-comics I’ve done, I think you should seriously check out the art and character designs of M.Y.T.H. because it’s pretty much more of that but kinda better since I’ve improved at pretty much everything since then and have the added benefit of full creative freedom.  Also, one of the patreon goals might interest you if you’ve still been asking me to bring SZG back.

Even if you’re not interested in becoming a patron, it would do me a huge favor if you could reblog this post at least once to help me spread the word about it to people!  Maybe even check back in after I’ve completed some actual pages of the comic to see if it catches your interest!

Today, I redesigned my Patreon page and introduced a new color scheme and took things up a level. Really happy with how it turned out.
