Plot Inspo
Tempest was pretty sure when her mom died that she took part of her dad's brain with her. It was the only way to explain the long list of stellar idiotic behavior that you had exhibited since that date. She had chalked up his playboy behavior to loneliness and the fact that his one true love died. Being comforted by the fact that none of these partners who walked in and out of the door would be here on a permanent basis. They were just warm bodies and were in desperate need for someone to pay for their lifestyles that they could not afford themselves. Or at least that's what she thought until Dante LaRoqur brought home his new wife Aurora.
There was an instant skism created in the house. There was Tempest who bullied Aurora every chance she got, Dante who was showing his best absentee husband traits, and Aurora who seemed to actually be very kind stuck between the two of them.
"I'm pretty sure I told you not to cook for me," Tempest said, looking at the entirely made dining room table as she walked past Aurora and her father into the kitchen. She was wrapped lazily in a pool towel after her morning swim wearing that almost permanent bored look she'd had since meeting the other woman. To Tempest, the only good thing about her was that she was pretty. Other than that she was an annoyance she couldn't get away from. "Just because you managed to marry rich doesn't mean you should be wasteful. And try not to let this event get too out of hand this time Dad. I don't want to scrap your business partners off beach chairs in the morning. And don't embarrass us Aurora. I know you don't have any experience with these things and I'd hate for you to end up being the topic of choice at the club's Sunday brunch. That would truly be more embarrassing than my dad marrying a child."
