a flag for those with narcissistic personality disorder who feel strongly connected to the phrase "eat your heart out". they may feel an intense longing for something more, to be something better, to have everyone around them look up to or love them. they may simultaneously grieve the person they could've been without this disorder, wishing they didn't have to deal with the negative symptoms or could somehow be 'cured' of npd.

these are not the only ways someone could be tied to the phrase, and the exact meaning is up to the user.
