Definitely a controversial figure of this sport (but who isn't, really?) but, let's say it, you need some serious guts to win such a tense WDC fight and right after it basically declare: "my mental health is more important than this, I quit!"
Reiken felt the pain before he even realized that he was attacked. He gasped, hands going to the claw sticking out of his shoulder.
The claw ripped out, causing him to stumble back a few steps. As he turned around, he sank to his knees, blood running down between his fingers. He glance at the creature that was quickly retreating back into the trees.
For a moment Reiken lifted one hand to attack, but he couldn’t gather the strength to do it.
His shoulder started feeling numb.
The tingling, numbing sensation slowly travelled down into his arm. His arm fell limply to his side.
Reiken glance back to where the creature disappeared to, before he just sank to his knees, pressing against the wound. He couldn’t bring his mind to figure out what just happened. How did that creature sneak up on him like that? It shouldn’t be possible. He should have been able to sense the creature behind him.
His first priority would be to get away from here.
Since he did not know what kind of creature attacked him, he also did not know what effect, if any, it would have on him.
He needed to get home.
Lightning flashed through the sky. Reiken glance up, but saw now clouds. The sky was empty. He shook his head. It might e better for him to just head towards the village, get his shoulder taken care of and then head back up the mountain.
Hein and the others would be really mad at him, if he didn’t tell them he got hurt again.
That still confused him a bit.
Why would they care so much if he tells them or not?
He flinched as a sharp pain shot through his shoulder and down his arm. He tried to moved his hand, clench his fist, but the limb did not want to listen to him.
The blood felt warm as he ran down his fingers.
Stumbling, Reiken reached the village. His entire body has started feeling numb.
As he walked, his vision went in and out of focus.
Voices reached his ears, but he couldn’t make out what they were saying, it felt like he was trying to hear from underwater.
Something moved in front of his out of focus vision and it took him a while before he realized that there was someone standing in front of him. No, it was two people.
One strawberry blond and the other brunette.
He blinked at them, trying to get his eyes to focus. One of them reached out towards him, but he couldn’t feel anything. His entire body felt numb.
For a moment they blurred before the horizon tilted and everything disappeared.

Hein and Saffron stood talking next to one of the carts that brought some rare supplies to the village.
There’s been strange sounds coming from the mountain the entire day. It worried everyone. So when Reiken did not show up for his weekly visit to the town, they knew that there was something wrong.
“Do you think he’s alright?” Saffron asked, wringing her hands together.
Hein sighed and shook his head. “I don’t know” he said and glanced up at the sky “Those sounds stopped, so maybe he’ll come down after a while”
Saffron nodded.
“I’m afraid for him” she whispered “What if one day he doesn’t come back? He gets hurt so badly that he cannot come back and he’s all alone... and...”
“Saff...” Hein said, placing a hand on her shoulder, shaking his head “Don’t think like that. Rei is strong. He’ll come back. He promised”
The girl nodded and glanced towards the mountain. A frown formed on her face. “What’s that?” she asked, pointing to something moving between the trees.
A figure stepped out, moving sluggishly almost like a drunk.
Hein frowned as he pushed himself away from the cart. It took him a moment before he recognize the red hair and tattered clothing.
He swore under his breath and quickly started towards the figure.
“Hein” Saffron called out after him, quickly jogging to catch up to him.
“That’s Rei”
Saffron blink at the figure, before her eyes widened and she gasped. “Reiken!” she called out and quickly ran over to him, with Hein short on her heals.
Reiken did not stop walking. It looked like he wasn’t even aware that they were there, until Saffron placed her hands on his shoulders. He stopped blinked a few times, finally looking up at them.
For a moment he just stood there, eyes slightly unfocused, before they rolled back and he just crumbled to the ground.
Hein tried to catch him, but only manage to break his fall. Both of them falling to the ground. Saffron let out a yelp, going to her knees next to the two guys. Her eyes widened as she noticed the blood soaking Reiken’s shirt.
“We need to get him somewhere we can look at his wounds” she said as she looked at Hein.
He nodded. “My house is the closest” he said.
Saffron helped him to pick Reiken up and carry him down the street towards him house.
Hein gently let Reiken lay on the cot, his head just lolled to the side, red hair falling over his face in dirty strings. He breathed in shallow gasps, lips slightly parted while he just stayed motionless, with no sign of waking up.
“A knife” Saffron said as she pulled slightly on Reiken’s flimsy tunic before holding her hand out to Hein.
He handed her his hunting knife. “What do you want to do?” he asked slowly.
“Cutting away the shirt. It’s already ruined and will be easier to get to the wound”
Hein nodded. “I’ll bring you the first aid” he said.
Saffron nodded as she sliced away the tunic and pulling it away from Reiken body. For a moment she just stared at the scars over his skin, she shook her head and turned her focus to the bleeding wound on his shoulder.
She pulled the tunic away and pressed it against the wound to try and stop the bleeding.
“Saff” Hein said as he placed a bag on the bed.
She just glanced at the bag and nodded. “Get me some water and more towels” she said “We need to clean this wound”
Hein swallowed and nodded.
It took not very long before Saffron cleaned the wound, sew it shut and bandage it.
Saffron sat back and looked at Hein. “What do you think happened?” she asked softly “That wound is not dangerous enough to cause this”
Hein shook his head. “I don’t know. There might have been some kind of poison or something on the thing that did that to him” he said as he started gathering the bloody cloths.
***
Reiken could hear voices talking around him. At first the voices were just unintelligible whispers. His body felt heavy, but also cold. Slowly the voices became clearer.
“....found him....”
“...and then he just... we brought him...”
“...happened to him...”
That sounded like Hein and Gruen. There was a strange sounding edge to Hein’s voice, but he couldn’t make out what it was.
The voices just continued.
“...shoulder...”
“... not sure if there...”
“... stitches...”
Saffron and Leia.
They were all here. He tried to open his eyes, but his body did not want to listen to him anymore. The numbness was still there. He couldn’t move, couldn’t speak.
The voice before even clearer.
“Are you sure you didn’t see anything?” Gruen’s voice asked “He didn’t say anything, or said a strange name or something?”
“I told you. He was already so out of it when we found him, he didn’t say anything”
“The wound?”
“It looks like a claw or something stabbed through his shoulder from behind” Saffron’s voice said “It looks worse than it is, but I think there might have been some kind of poison or something on the it”
“So there’s nothing that we can do for him?” Leia asked
“No...”
“We need to get Hogin here”
“You think he can help?”
“He’s supposed to be a healer, maybe there’s something he can do”
“Alright” Hein said “I’ll go get him”
“I’m coming with you” Saffron said “I need some more supplies”
Reiken listened as their footsteps faded. Darkness pulled his mind under again and things started to fade into nothingness. With the darkness, memories started coming back.
Memories that he wished he could erase forever.
***
Reiken walked behind Misha, smiling at her. “You know that you cannot do that right?” he asked, tilting his head slightly.
She looked over her shoulder back at him. “Don’t be like that, Rei-Rei” she laughed “You need to loosen up a bit. Don’t be so stiff, or else Ash is going to mock you again”
“He wouldn’t dare. He’s to much of a softy” Reiken said ginning, his ocean blue eyes shining.
Misha stopped, the happy expression disappearing from her face as she looked at him.
“Tell me Rei-Rei” she said walking up to him “Even if I grow old and grey and wrinkly...”
Reiken gave her a questioning look when she paused.
“Even then...” Misha hesitated “Will you still be there? Like now?”
Gently Reiken reached out, pushing some of the long golden hair behind her ear, his fingers brushing her cheek.
“If Sig doesn’t kill me by then” he said playfully.
“Reiken” Misha said, seriously “I’m being serious”
Reiken sighed, folding his hands behind his head as he looked up at the blue sky.
“I know” he said.
“Will you still love me even if I’m old and dying?”
Reiken clenched his jaw as he looked down at her. “I don’t think I’ll be able to live without you” he said as he dropped his hands to his sides “Even if your old and shrivelled I’ll still be there...”
No...
No...
NO!
He didn’t want to remember this.
It was terrible memories.
They still hurt.
Ripped his soul and heart apart.
But he couldn’t stop it. The memories kept on coming.
He looked down at Misha. Her face pale. He found her that morning. On the ground of the small cottage. His heart nearly stopped. When he picked her up she was light as a feather and ice-cold.
She should have told him.
She tried to, but he didn’t listen.
He needed to find a way to help her.
To save her.
To cure her.
He dropped his head into his hands, closing his eyes against the pain in his chest.
“Reike?” a gentle voice asked and he head snapped up.
Misha smiled softly at him from the bed. “What are you doing here?” she asked softly.
“I...” he started before just looking away.
“Don’t go shy on me now, Reike” Misha said softly “Talk and look at me”
Reiken took a deep breath. “I came to check up on you” he said “Ash said there’s nothing he can do for you. That it’s an illness that he doesn’t know. Something that can resist his healing”
Misha smiled and reached out to him with one hand, cupping his cheek. He leaned into her touch.
“It’s alright, Reike” she said softly.
“No” he said quickly pulling away “Not it’s not. You are dying and you want me to just sit here and watch it happen. You cannot expect me to do that!”
Reiken screamed.
He couldn’t take it anymore. It brought back to much pain. After all these years, after more than a thousand years, it still tore his heart apart. He couldn’t breathe.
It was to painful.
He did not want to see what was coming next. It would kill him. He couldn’t take it anymore.
***
Leia and Gruen jumped slightly when Reiken started moving on the bed. For a moment it looks like he was about to wake up, but then he just slumped back.
The two glanced at each other.
“He’s having a nightmare?” Leia asked quickly, but even that made Reiken jerk like someone hit him.
“We need to wake him up...” Gruen said, clenching his jaw as he steps towards the bed. Taking a deep breath he shook Reiken’s shoulder.
The other guy did not react. He just started thrashing around, trying to get away from Gruen. His breathing turned into panicked gasps. It took the other two a moment before they realized that there were tears running down his cheeks.
Gruen and Leia still stood staring at him, when he suddenly screamed.
The sound filled the air around them. Terrified and sad and broken.
Leia bit back at sob as she quickly walked up to the bed, sat down and just pulled Reiken half up against her, hugging him tightly.
Reiken moved, his arms going around her middle.
“It’s alright...” Leia whispered, one hand on his back the other stroking his hair “Shh... It’s alright... Everything’s alright”
Gruen clenched his hands into fists.
This was the same.
It was just like that time before.
When he had trouble sleeping. Reiken also freaked out that time.
Leia just rocked back and forth, trying to hold back her own tears. After a while, it looked like Reiken calmed down and Gruen helped her to let him lay back down.
There was still a pained expression on his face, but he seemed better.
Gruen pulled chairs closer and they sat down waiting for Saffron and Hein to return with Hogin.
When they arrived Hogin shooed them all out of the room.
“What happened while we were gone?” Hein asked, glancing at Leia’s troubled expression.
“Reiken freaked out, but we couldn’t get him to wake up” Gruen said “I’m really worried about him”
They jumped when there came a crash from inside the room.
Within a second everyone were in the room.
Reiken were awake. Standing with his back against the wall, as far as he could get away from Hogin, holding his injured shoulder.
Gruen caught Hogin shoulder before he could go any closer and just shook his head.
“Give him time” he said softly before looking at Reiken again.
Reiken just stared at him without really seeing them. Then he shut his eyes, pressing a fist against his forehead as he slid down the wall.
“I’m sorry...” he whispered without looking up.
“You don’t need to apologize for anything” Leia said “You didn’t do anything wrong”
“I’m so sorry...”
It took the others a moment before they realized that he wasn’t talking to them.
"Why is it so damn cold....?" Tyler grumbled as he rubbed his arms.
"Because you're a dumbass," Bell's voice said to him.
Tyler rolled his eyes as he kept on walking. He would have preferred not going out tonight, but it wasn't like he had a choice when the goody-two shoe squad was in trouble.
Bell couldn't find anything on what was going on.
So now he was tracking through the cold, trying to find out where they were. He was going to give them an earful as soon as he found them. This was ridiculous. This cold was stupid annoying.
"Have you found anything else, Bell?" Tyler grumbled as he moved.
"No, I haven't found anything yet" Bell said "There's no traces of a fight anywhere"
"Ugh.... why do they have to make everything so difficult?" Tyler said as he moved on to the next section.
"Probably because you are the problem child of this city" Bell said "now keep moving"
"This cold is going to make me sick," Tyler complained.
"Your demon is going to make you sick" Bell said "So don't go blaming the cold. Your NightAngel suit regulates the temperature"
"Yeah well.... It's damn cold" Tyler said.
"Stop complaining and keep moving"
Tyler pulled a face at nothing as he kept on moving. He did not like this at all. Something always went wrong when the goody-two shoes disappeared. A shiver ran through his body and he quickly made his way towards another building.
He barely landed on top of the building before a chill ran down his spine. Immediately he could feel that there was something wrong.
"What is going, Tyler?" Bell's voice asked.
"There's something off here...." Tyler said quietly, eyes flickering around "This was where you last tracked them, right?"
"Yes... and now there's no trace of them" Bell said "You need to be careful"
Tyler nodded as he started looking around. There was no way he was going to let himself get caught by whoever got their hands on the hero squad. Shaking his head Tyler made his way into the building.
It was one of the few that's been abandoned. He could hear movement inside the building.
"Bell... Scan the building" Tyler said quietly, his voice barely a whisper.
"I'm picking up two other signatures inside the building," Bell said.
Tyler nodded as he started looking through the building.
It didn't take him long before he reached the closest of the sounds. As he stepped around into one of the trashed rooms, he froze.
In front of him were FireStorm, Danielle, and Dusk, Jack. The two were huddled in the corner looking confused and scared.
***
That was not what he expected.
"Um... What are you two doing?" he asked slowly.
Immediately the two's attention snapped towards him. Danielle smothered a scream as she tried to get away from him.
Tyler blinked at them.
"Who are you?" Jack snapped.
"Um... I'm... Hold on... Is this a joke?" Tyler said, confused.
"Who are you?" Jack snapped again "Don't come any closer...."
Tyler sighed. "As much as I'm enjoying this...." he muttered to himself "This is just so wrong"
He tapped his earpiece. "Bell... send an ambulance to my location" he said.
"What are you doing?" Danielle asked.
"Taking care of the two of you" Tyler said, rubbing his hand over his tied hair "Now... I'm not your enemy... can you tell me what happened?"
"I don't know...." Danielle whispered, staring at Tyler with a terrified expression.
"Where's the others?"
"What others?" Jack asked.
"The rest of you goody-two shoe squad" Tyler said "Chris, Alley and Vic... where are they?"
"We don't know" Danielle said "We don't know who you're talking about"
Tyler just stared at them. It took him a few seconds before he managed to process what they were saying.
"Do you know who you are?" he asked slowly.
The two shook their heads and Tyler groaned.
This day was just getting better and better. "This is just wonderful...." he said, rubbing his hand over his face, before looking at the two "Alright.... There's an ambulance coming to pick you up. Go with those people, they will help and take care of you"
"Why are you helping us?" Danielle asked.
Tyler shrugged. "Because I feel like it" he said "Now stop cowering in here and go down to the entrance of this building... Or else I will throw both of you out the window"
The two stared at him with shocked and terrified expressions.
Rolling his eyes, Tyler turned around and stepped out of the room. "Get to the entrance" he called over his shoulder.
"The ambulance is on its way.... what do you want me to tell them?"
"That FireStorm and Dusk has been hit with a memory loss power or something" Tyler grumbled "I need to find the other three"
"I'll keep an eye on them"
"Thanks," Tyler said as he started moving again.
***
Tyler watched with his arms crossed as the ambulance took Alley and Chris away. He had some hell of a time getting both of them to work with him. Even while they can't remember him, Alley and Chris still annoyed the hell out of him.
Now he just needed to find Vic.
And he was worried.
It was not good. She was way too timid to be left alone in the city with no memories about who she is.
With a sigh he turned away and started his search for the last, and least annoying member of the goody two-shoe squad. This was going to be the most difficult of the five. Anyone that underestimated her was going to be in for a big surprise.
He will have to be careful.
"Alright Bell... start tracking Siren" Tyler said as he moved.
"Going by where we found the others and where it seemed the fighting happened, I'll see what I can do" Bell said.
Tyler nodded as he moved.
It didn't take very long before Bell managed to track where Vic was. Without wasting any time, Tyler followed Bell's directions.
After a while, Tyler reached one of the old parks. He paused as he looked around.
"Are you sure about this?" he asked Bell, slowly making his way into the park. His eyes flickered around. There weren't a lot of people around, but it was still going to take a while before he'll be able to make sure that Vic wasn't there.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a flash of red hair. Frowning he made his way over to where he saw it. When he reached the place, there were no one around. He could hear someone moving around and headed over there. Now he had to make sure not to get into any trouble or scare Vic, if it was her.
As he reached the area, he noticed the small red headed girl half hiding next to one of the rides.
He stopped for a moment, when she noticed him.
The girl stared at him with silvery grey eyes. Tears filled her eyes as she looked at him.
She looked terrified.
"... Siren..." Tyler started, before pulling back slightly and shaking his head "...Victoria"
She jumped, stumbling back, looking terrified.
Tyler paused, before quickly pulling down his mask. "Hey... it's alright..." he said, lifting his hands slightly to show he meant her no harm "I'm not going to hurt you..."
Vic stared at him, fiddling with her hands.
Smiling slightly, Tyler knelt down on one knee. "Miss Victoria" he said softly "It's alright... I'm here to help you..."
"...how.... how do you.. know me?" Vic asked, her voice trembling as she looked at Tyler. Her entire body trembled.
"We're.... we're friends...." Tyler said softly "I just came to help you..."
Vic looked over at him, but did not say anything.
Tyler held out his hand towards Vic. "Here..." he said "Take my hand.... and I'll take you back home"
Slowly Vic reached out towards him, but when her hand touched him, Tyler's power disappeared and he groaned, swaying slightly. The demon screamed in his head and his vision blurred.
Vic gasped and immediately pulled away.
"I'm so sorry..." she apologised, huddling as far away from Tyler as she could.
Tyler breathed out and gently reached out to Vic, taking her hands, his negation rushed forward, blocking her power.
"It's alright..." he said softly "See... I'm fine... You didn't do anything wrong..."
Vic tried to pull away for a moment, before tears started running down her face. "I'm sorry.... I'm sorry...." she repeated.
Tyler sighed. "It's alright..." he said, moving closer to her "I promise... everything is alright..."
Vic started sobbing softly.
"I'm sorry, Vic..." Tyler said softly as he put his hand against her head. Immediately the girl's eyes rolled back and she went limp.
Tyler quickly caught her. Gently he picked her up, carefully holding her in his arms.
"Bell" Tyler said immediately "Tell Arthur to get a bed ready for Miss Victoria. I'm bringing her to the mansion"
"Alright... We'll get it ready" Bell said.
Tyler took a deep breath before he shot up into the air, holding Vic against him. The demon was screaming in the back of his head. He just wanted the stupid thing to shut up.
When Tyler reached the mansion he landed lightly at the bunker's entrance. Immediately the door opened and he stepped inside.
"Master Tyler" Arthur said with a nod and motioned for Tyler to follow him.
Gently he lay her down on the bed.
"What is going on, Sir?" Arthur asked "Bell started to explain, but have not had the chance to finish"
"They've got hit with something that causes amnesia" Tyler explained "I don't know how to fix this yet. So we should just take care of her for a while, until we figure out what to do"
Arthur nodded. "Of course, Sir," he said.
***
Tyler sat next to Vic's bed. He just watched her over her, making sure that she was alright.
After a few hours Vic started waking up.
Immediately Tyler pulled back slightly. He did not want to scare her again. So it would be for the best if he just backed off for a little bit.
"Bell let Arthur know that she's waking up" he said quickly.
"Already let him know," Bell said.
Tyler turned his attention back to Vic.
Slowly Vic's eyes flickered open. For a moment she just stared off at the ceiling, before her eyes widened and she quickly sat up.
"Easy there..." Tyler said softly.
"Who.... Who are you?" Vic asked, her voice trembling.
Tyler smiled slightly. "I'm Tyler" he said gently "We're friends"
Vic stared at him, still looking terrified. "How.... How do... Do you know me?" she said.
"We met in school," Tyler said.
She nodded slightly, wrapping her arms around herself. "What happened?"
Tyler shook his head. "I don't know" he said "I wasn't there when this happened. But it seems like you were hit with some kind of ability that took away your memories"
Vic stared at him and he sat back a bit more to give her some space.
"How are you feeling?" Tyler asked gently.
Vic looked down at her hands. "...I'm... alright..." she said softly "I think..."
"Do you mind if my friend takes a look at you?" Tyler asked "just to make sure that you're alright"
"Friend?" she asked, fiddling with her fingers.
Tyler nodded. "His name is Arthur.... and he is my guardian," he said.
Vic glanced at him before looking down at her hands again. "..Alright..." she said.
"Thank you, Vic" Tyler said as he slowly got up "I'll go get him... if need anything else... just ask"
With that Tyler left and quickly went to find Arthur.
"Sir" Arthur said as he came down the stairs.
Tyler nodded towards him. "Vic is awake" he said "And she still doesn't remember anything"
Arthur nodded. "I will take a look and see if there's anything I can do for her," he said.
"Thank you, Arthur," Tyler said.
Arthur nodded, before going to the infirmary where Vic was. Tyler followed after him, but did not go inside. He just wanted outside the door. There was no reason to make the girl feel even more uncomfortable.
Tyler listened to the two as they spoke. He wanted until Arthur came back out of the room.
"Is everything alright?" he asked.
Arthur nodded. "She's fine, Sir" he said "The effects should start wearing of in about another two to three hours"
Tyler nodded, smiling slightly. "Thank you, Arthur" he said "I'll stay with her until she gets her memories back"
"I will bring down something to eat and some drinks for you" Arthur said before he left the bunker.
Tyler breathed out and knocked on the door, looking into the room.
"Can I come in?" he asked.
"Oh... yes," Vic said softly. She looked up as Tyler stepped into the room.
"How are you feeling?" he asked.
Vic nodded. "I'm alright... Guess... I'm just a little scared" she said.
"You can take a shower and I'll bring you some of River's clothes... They should fit you" Tyler said "If you want to freshen up"
"River?" Vic asked.
"My little brother" he said "He's about fifteen, you two are kind of the same size"
"Oh..." Vic said, before nodding. "That will be great.... thank you..."
Tyler nodded. "I'll give you some time... The house AI can help you if you need anything. Her name is Bell"
"House... AI?"
"That's right..." Tyler said, sitting down next tot he bed "She can be pretty sassy, don't let her bully you"
That made Vic smile. "I will keep that in mind" she said.
"I'll leave you now to do what you need" he said and slowly got up. Immediately his body complained about it. He paused for a moment breathing out as he waited for the pain to become manageable.
"Are you alright?" Vic asked softly.
Tyler smiled slightly at her. "Yes... don't worry about it" he said "Just got an old injury that's been acting up"
Vic studied his face before she nodded. "Alright..." she said "Thank you for the help"
"You would have done the same for me," Tyler said softly.
"Thank you again," she said.
Tyler slowly left the room. He paused outside for a moment before going up the stairs. He will have to explain to River what's going on here.
River was in the kitchen, slowly eating some cereal.
"A bit late for cereal, isn't it, brat?" Tyler asked as he pulled out a chair and plopped down into it.
"Screw you Tyler" River said, looking up at him "What's going on? Bell's been giving Arthur reports on the hero squad the entire day"
Tyler groaned. "You don't want to know. They basically got beaten and now they can't remember anything" he said "it's a damn mess"
"What do you mean they can't remember?"
"Like they can't remember anything... None of them knows who I am nor that they're supposed to be heroes"
"Damn...." River said as he scooped another spoonful of cereal into his mouth.
"Exactly" Tyler said "And now I have to clean up their mess.... Oh and Vic's in the bunker. Don't mess with her, she can't remember anything either"
River blinked at his brother. "Seriously.... You brought Vic here?" he asked "While she can't remember anything?"
Tyler shrugged. "She was scared" he said "I'm not going to dump her at the hospital like the others"
"You just left them there?" River asked with a laugh and Tyler nodded "Damn... they are not going to like that when they finally remember everything"
"Yeah... I can't wait for that bomb to drop" Tyler said with a smirk.
River chuckled. "Are you going to write you dumb fanfic about it?" he asked.
"You have no idea...." Tyler said.
***
Tyler leads Vic towards the entrance of the mansion. They were just going to go for a walk, so she wouldn't be stuck in the mansion the entire time she's there.
As the front doors opened, Tyler blinked.
"Look... it's snowing," he said, surprised.
Vic stared at the falling snowflakes. Her eyes lit up as she stepped through the door, holding out her hand, so a few flakes could fall on her hand.
"It's beautiful," she said, before looking at Tyler with a happy smile.
He watched her with a gentle expression on his face. "Yeah... it is..." he said "I think we should wait a while before going out... it wouldn't do walking in the snow. I don't want you to get sick"
A ball of snow hit Tyler right in the face.
"You're the moron that's going to get sick" River yelled from outside, before another snowball hit him in the chest.
"You moron!" Tyler yelled "The old man is going to kill you if you get the house dirty!"
"Come on, get me then!" River yelled, before he started laughing "YOU LOSER!"
Tyler growled. "I'm going to kill you, you damn brat" he snapped as he shot forward, scooping up some of the fresh snow, making a snowball while chasing after River.
Vic watched them with a smile. There was something very familiar about the two. It seemed like they were having a lot of fun.
Tyler hurled the snowball at River, laughing as he hit the boy in the arm.
"Got you you damn brat!" he said, as another snow ball hit him in the stomach.
"You're a bigger target!" River yelled back.
"I'm going to get you for that!" Tyler chuckled.
The two chased each other around in the snow, with Vic watching them from the porch.
There was snow flying everywhere.
Tyler slipped and fell in the snow before he burst out laughing. River scooped up an entire arm full of snow, dumping it on Tyler.
Vic watched them.
"...Tyler..." she said softly, as memories started rushing back "...River..."
Tyler scrambled back onto his feet, tackling River to the ground.
"You are going to pay for that, you brat" he laughed as he started tickling River.
The boy burst out laughing, trying to get away from Tyler. "Don't you dare...." he laughed.
"Looks like they are having fun" Arthur said as he walked up to Vic.
Vic jumped slightly as she turned towards him. "Arthur...." she said.
"Miss Victoria" Arthur said with a nod "I take it that your memories have returned?"
Vic nodded. "Yes..." she said with a smile.
Arthur nodded. "I am glad to hear that" he said "I would like to take a look just to make sure that everything is alright"
"Of course, Mister Arthur" she said, folding her hands together.
Arthur and Vic looked back to Tyler and River throwing snowballs at each other. Without warning one of the snowballs flew towards Vic and Arthur.
"COME ON!" River yelled "The snow is great!"
"He makes it sound like the water in a swimming pool" Arthur said, shaking his head "I will retreat now.... you kids have fun"
