We won’t listen Any more We are searching For the cure” . I wrote and sang this song from the perspective of the youth. At one time, I planned to make a video for it with all kinds of happy kids skippin’ through the grass while angry old white politicians look on in fear and resentment from their deathbeds.🤣🤷🏻♂️ I even dreamt of getting the children of these adults slain by police violence to be the ones to sing the hook in honor and in tribute... 💔 . When I ask “What have you done with our tomorrow?” I’m asking that as the voice of a child to their elders, as they’re waking and seeing they are inheriting a world of poisoned water supplies, streets stalked by angry white men with guns, and often a badge, crippled social systems and the scars of colonialism. It’s not what they want but it’s what they’re getting... I’ve been just as pissed about is since I was their age... I’m manifesting they have whatever we lacked and can make it happen this round...
