No-BS Nintendo Switch 2 Information
There is a LOT of speculation and misinformation going around about the Nintendo Switch 2 so I thought I'd make this post to clear some of it up. All my sources are directly from Nintendo's website or official Nintendo sources.

FAQs
How do I upgrade my Switch 1 Game to the Switch 2 Version?
It's a DLC purchase. Depending on how much new content is added the cost varies.
Examples:
Kirby and the Forgotten Land - $20 for added story DLC.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - $10 for added content.
Both base games for the Switch 1 are $60.
(Bill Trinen via IGN)
If you haven't bought the games before, they are available for physical purchase at a new price point, containing the added Switch 2 content.
(via Walmart)
Some games with receive free compatibility upgrades to boost performance.
What is a Game Key Card?
Previous "Digital Only" physical titles would be an empty plastic box with a code written inside. Game Key Cards are to replace that written code. This, in theory, ties games to the key card instead of your account, allowing them to be downloaded multiple times across multiple systems, along with allowing them to be resold.
Not all games will use the Game Key Card, many will still use standard Game Cards. As an example, Kirby and The Forgotten Land posted above does NOT use a Game Key Card. Read your game boxes before a purchase to find out which you are buying.
