I'm one of those people who believes that using proper grammar and spelling is something essential and beautiful, while two seconds later being like "Can you understand my words and the context behind them? Yes? Then fuck traditional vocal/written language. That was the whole point behind its creation right?? Simply to be able to translate one human's thoughts into outward communication for all to understand. And if writign liek a centipeeeed wit a tutch skrene still conveys my idea, however coherently, then I'm using language properly, with its original purpose as my backboard."

But no, I really do need to stop picking up vocal traits from my Texan father. That much is inexcusable

Ugh. Just went through something similar. People have trouble understanding things they haven't gone through. They pick the closest emotion they've had and assume it's the same.

I hear that. I know my mom wants more for me and that's why she says inconsiderate things sometimes. But assuming your kid is just not applying themselves is probably the last thing you'd want to do and people just don't get that fsr? Anyway, I'm sorry you've got a similar predicament, God knows I feel your frustration

..... But. $.05 is the same? I did that instead of finding it. It's probably also in symbols tho. You can get an entirely different alphabet by going to the symbols page.

There's a symbols page on a cell phone, but I'm talking about on a laptop or desktop pc. You'd think it'd be one of the go-tos up there on the number strip but nope. We've got the much more useful ^ and +
