i would love to see your take on honey swamp because there is just something about her that i feel is kind of a letdown to the possibilities, but i genuinely dont know what would be done different, so maybe you might be able to give it a shot?
Ok, I was really happy to get this one!
I have a lot of thoughts about Honey, and just overall how I would have gone about her character ( somewhat...I haven’t actually seen Frights Camera Action, so I don’t have a good sense of her personality)
Design wise, the thing that jumps out immediately was her color palette. I have a Honey doll, and her colors are veeeeery different compared to her official art. I leaned mine more towards her doll, but overall darkened her skintone. (The wiki describes her skin as being “medium aquamarine” and it very much isn’t. It’s a pale blue)
I also decided to think of her as a hybrid. In my mind a swamp monster is just a monster that inhabits a swamp, not a species on its own. Her father is the Honey Island Swamp Monster, which I interpret as an aquatic creature, and her mother is a plant monster. I feel like its very in tune with her design.

omg ty for asking 🥺 so here’s my struggle: i am obsessed w courtney love’s line “this is what we do baby we nightmare you” bc tbh the phrase we nightmare you goes hard as hell and theres so many lines in this song that make me lose my mind but i feel like that ones super overlooked, but. i cannot have my fucking tumblr url tattooed on my body i just cant do it 😂 so in another life it would def be that!! but also as maybe(?) cliche as it is i think a line art tattoo of the church in the desert getting burned would slap, like with just the outlines of the flames in black ink.
tbh this is all in the universe where i get over my fear of needles and commitment but its fun to think about!
it's not in my native language (Ojibwe like you) but the name that the local native tribe of Chinook (not federally recognised) gave the Columbia River is Wimahl (pronounced like youre saying "win 'em all" really quickly). my favourite words in Ojibwe are makwa (bear), gookooko'oo (owl -- an onomatopœia!), and animosh (dog). my s/o is Cheyenne and my favourite words in Cheyenne are nemehotaste (i love you), haáahe (hello -- pronounced like haaaaaa basically), and náhkohe (bear)!!
Gookooko'oo is such a cute word??? I love the names of animals and the like in Anishinaabemowin; oboodashkwaanishiinh (dragonfly) is one of my other favorites and I will literally never be able to pronounce it lmao
