Kal, not looking up from his datapad as he tries to keep Mereel from grabbing it out of his hands from where the Null clone is perched on his shoulder: Huh?

Prudii, turning his head to look at Kal: Can I say a bad word?!

Kal, answering Prudii while looking at Mereel to tell him off: Yeah.

Prudii, turning back towards the Kaminoan with great intensity: You mother fucking bitch!

Kal, taken aback, starts laughing, making Mereel have to hold on for dear life to not get shaken off as Kal collapses into himself from laughter.

The Kaminoan is not impressed.

As deadly as Jango when they need to be. Very big. Very scary. Not as independent as Jango.

Need leadership. Have to be cared for. Good boys. Best boys honestly.

Mostly good boys. Very high bite instinct, though. Will chomp. No one knows why they're the way they are. Independent from outside sources (inwardly), and very loyal to their pack (outwardly).

Neurodivergent Clones & Why it Bugs Me

So, I get why people want to write clones as neurodivergent or headcanon them as such. I really do. But here’s the thing, a lot of neurodivergence comes down to genetics. I can trace my autistic roots down the family line and those family members just didn’t realize they were autistic. Same with my sister’s ADHD.

That being said, it’s hard for a bunch of genetically identical men to be neurodivergent. Not impossible, but a lot rarer than you think. Then add Kaminoin cloning practices and I can guarantee you there might be one in the entire GAR. Thus reading fics with neurodivergent clones bugs me because it just isn't plausible.

However, if you do wish for neurodivergent clones, may I recommend the Alpha’s and the Nulls? The Nulls are all pretty out there mentally. I mean the Kaminoins found them scary. Wookiepedia stated the Alphas inherited Jango’s solitary nature and they kind of took obeying his orders to the extreme. Kaminoins later purposely bred out that solitariness from future clones, and since autism does come with a greater tendency to be a loner and is due in large part to genetics, I could see autistic Alphas as plausible.

Kickback breathed in, breathed out. Checked his instruments, then reviewed his preflight checklist, even though he’d already done both more times than he cared to admit. Sublight fuel levels, antigravs, comms, navigation … it was stupid to be nervous. He’d done this a million times in the simulator, had gone over everything they had needed to know on the ground, had even been up with an instructor.
