Important recap for Dismay Cleansing’s storyline
So yeah, my danganronpa roleplay on discord, Dismay Cleansing, follows a storyline and is actually a sequel from another series of rps hosted by my lovely friend Lisia. However, this time, I am the one who created the whole storyline and context ! Here a recap of what happened previously...
Null Island is a killing game happened in 2196. Consisting of 18 "tourists" that are being forced to kill each other by Monokuma. There's also Yukimi the lovely snow AI. After a few murders that happen, the tourists learn that they are actually in a virtual reality! On top of that, apparently they were all killed someone before! In a killing game that they don't even remember! Even worse, the previous killing games also took place in the virtual world! There are poems peppered throughout the area, and through this the tourists were able to find out what is actually going on. Apparently the poems were created by Aida Mikane, the Ultimate Poet.
He was a tourist in the previous killing game and got killed. He was killed by a COD member. The COD organization, or Children of Despair, previously caused all kinds of havoc on earth. They followed the ideologies of Junko Enoshima and created what they call as Zetsubou Virus. This virus is a cybervirus that infect all kinds of electric devices with screen and cause the users to fall into despair. One of the earliest victim of the event is a little girl, beaten to death by someone who fell into despair because of the virus. The United Nations decided to cooperate with a certain controversial company called Cyro Somnambulator ltd. to help them out. The UN planned to get people save from the effect from the virus by putting them in cyrosleep. They prioritized the Ultimates first, then just a handful of normal people.Unfortunately the parents of the girl who got killed apparently worked at the company. They are responsible for making the killing games. For 2 objectives. To expose the COD members and to make them suffer. They "recreated" their dead daughter into Yukimi. Yukimi, despite the mastermind being her "parents", hated the killing games.
During the 18th game, Aida was told all about the true nature of Null Island. Just before he was killed. During the 19th game, where the our tourists come from, Yukimi reuploaded the murder case of Aida when Monokuma threaten them to kill em all if no one killed. Thanks to this case the tourists are able to call out the masterminds in the trial and we the help of Yukimi, break out from the simulation. Not only they freed themself, they also freed the previous ones from the previous killing games including Aida. All of them wake up from the pods, from the facility in Antartica. The UN caught the parents but... Is that all?
2200, Laurencia Urip the Ultimate Forensic Doctor along with her partner Gae Dorofeyev the Ultimate Psychiatrist scheme to host a killing game in a secret base from the cold war years. They lied to the United Nations about a so called project named Utopia that has for goal to "find a cure to the infected of the Zetsubou Virus" but actually they planned to make them kill each other. Hariel Novkovsa, the Ultimate Weapon Maker sent as a diplomate from Ernoa to the UN, the trio prepared their dark plans.
However, Hariel feeling that Ernoa and the UN would find him asked Lauren to do a suicide assisted and then the forensic doctor used the poor boy body to revive him using some kind of necromancy. Meanwhile, Minori Matsuyori was scouted by Laurencia for her neurological skills to erase the memories of the future subjects in particulary the 5 years where they were infected by the Zetsubou Virus. Utopia Project then started, Gae and Laurencia fighting for ideals while Minori was the inner spy communicating with an ear implant.
However, all the little trio's plans don't go as planned, the UN and the gouvernment of Ernoa finding the localisation thanks to the radio in the secret room. Kyou Hardman, Noboyuki Kagamine and Huilang managed to stop Laurencia and expose Minori's lie shooting both of them badly. The UN and members of the aristocraty of Ernoa came and arrested the two girls, Gae's body was found dead in the hallway on the ground -1.
Now the remaining subjects are free from the despair but lost forever their old memories. Minori and Laurencia are currently in jail questionned by the members of the UN but....There is a rumor like what Minori Matsuyori managed to escape but is it true...?
