Quick fact:

Physically, Null is practically identical to Mecha Sonic Mk. II, so it similarly has the ability to propel itself w the booster on its back.

NULL-DATA / Null (any/all/it/its)

The character this sideblog is about, and who I will rp as!

Any pronouns are fine, but it will always refer to itself with it/its. Don’t ship this character pls. (I WILL hunt you down)

THE LORE:

Null is an entity that inhabits a forgotten cartridge of Sonic & Knuckles. Its presence slowly corrupts and deletes game assets, regardless of if Null intends to do so or not. Due to this, it’s copy of the game is practically decaying around it, becoming more empty.

Null wishes to have its game played so that way it can interact with the players. However the corruption of it’s game causes it to be more and more unplayable as time goes on, so that those that do come across it’s cartridge never play for long.

Null exhibits a mild disdain for humans for having “abandoned” it, ignorant of the fact that its game’s state is the reason why.

It’s only real desire is to have friends, for it’s world is cold and lonely, inhabited only by it.

NOTES:

Rps made on this blog aren’t canon to the character’s actual lore. I mean, where do you think Null is gonna get access to Tumblr from?

Canonically, Null is incapable of interacting with other beings aside from those in the game (characters who it doesn’t care for and who end up deleted over time) or those that play the game (very few ever have)

Null is rather inept at understanding social situations because of this. It doesn’t understand references to culture or media, has a tendency to take metaphors literally, isn’t great at reading social cues, etc.

A canon aspect of its character that SHOULD be noted is that Null is not a malicious entity! It’s just very sad and lonely…
