Bliss redesigns
Everyone else was doing it, mom, I wanted to play too
So, Bliss. What a disaster, amirite? Something that people have complained about the most is Bliss’ design and I’ll be honest...yeah, her design leaves a lot to desire. But after seeing the special I can firmly say that it isn’t the hips that need to go--the character is confirmed a teenager. The hips don’t work because it doesn’t have a top counterbalance so it looks like hips just jammed onto a regular PPG body. Blossom is there for height comparison.
In fact her entire upper torso looks like its still kindergarten age while the rest looked older. Her ARMS are too short! So I made her arms longer, gave the hips a counterbalance with breasts, made the awkwardly short dress into a shirt and made her leggings more like pants. I also used a darker, more red based skin tone--red based brown tones go better with purple than mocha browns. But the mocha brown works better for the yellow.
And I just couldn’t make the teal hair work. So I didn’t include my attempt at it, just the original colors version. I went with a chocolate brown color a few shades darker than the skin tone I was using. I also attempted to make her hair more symmetrical in line with Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles’ originally symmetrical designs.
