Enchanting. That was precisely the word Christine would have used to describe Beziar. Positively enchanting. He was never anything as he seemed; a strong, brutish type man on the surface, but a compassionate, gentle soul of poetic proportion beneath. A careful heart in the chest of a fearsome beast. She was only reminded of that again as they stumbled in the dim light of her cabin and fell, laughingly, onto her bed.
“I know, I know–” Christine muffled his warning with breathless kisses. “It would be– easier if you weren’t so tall.”
With surprising ease for someone so slight, she pushed him onto his back and fell after him. It would have been sexy if her foot hadn’t also caught on his leg. With a startled squeak, Christine made a clumsy effort to catch herself… and promptly managed to roll them both to the floor with athud.
There was a moment of stunned silence, pale blue eyes staring wide-eyed at dark blue. Then, quietly at first, Christine began giggling again.
“Oh my god–” She covered her mouth to stifle herself. “D-Did I really just do that…?”
A wide smile pulling at his lips despite his efforts, Bezi was bent almost double so that he didn’t break the kiss. Christine was so small- he might have laughed at it in a different situation. Unable to complain as she cut him off with a series of kisses, he chuckled as he returned the kisses. His dark eyes danced with amusement and he nearly lost himself in the way she sounded and felt. She smelled incredible- medicine and cleaning agents, whatever perfumes she used, her shampoo, the natural smell she carried. The sound of her voice, her pulse, her breath, was distracting in the best way. It made him weak in the knees. And her mind, her heart- the things he would do for this woman. “Don’t you like me just the way I am?” he asked, feigning offense to hide the self-conscious pang in his chest. He let gravity him down as she gave him a shove. The bed rushed up to meet him, and he squeaked in surprise as he felt her tangle with his legs. “Oh!” He tried to wrap his hand in the sheets, but momentum dragged them both to the ground, where he absorbed much of their impact with a soft whoof. He was silent for a moment, blinking, before he let out a barking laugh. Turning his head, he pecked a kiss to her hand, grinning.
