Keto coming in clutch
Got an A on one of my nursing finals! Fat really does fuel the brain. 🧀🍳
This is my favorite bin in the fridge. I love snacks. Working and going to school full time make it difficult for me to eat sometimes so I always have pre-portioned snacks in the fridge after meal prep. This is summer sausage, pepperoni, and various cheese sticks. I also have hard boiled eggs, quest bars, and almonds packaged and ready for me to grab.
This is only the beginning.
At 350 lbs is when I said enough is enough. I am changing my lifestyle. Nursing school has made me gain 50lbs and I hate myself for letting it. I started ketogenic eating about a week ago and have definitely more energy. I am working on weight loss as well. I have a myriad of health problems including hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), GERD, anxiety, and chronic widespread inflammation mostly affecting my gut. So far I have seen results with a decrease in my inflammation, some acne clearing up, and more energy. I am excited to share my journey. I have tried every diet in the book from advocare to 21 day fix to cleanses to Atkins and HCG hormones and all of them have been a temporary fix. Never once have I felt like I do on my first week of keto.
I think one of the worst things about working full-time while in nursing school is not necessarily the sheer amount of work that I have to do, but mainly, that my ADHD ass decides right when I want to sit down and study instead of nap that it is the PERFECT time to immediately clean the entire house and have a genius idea for my ttrpg game I'm running at the same time.
Passed Med Surg nursing and I've never felt more relieved!
FUCK YEAH I GOT A 92% ON MY TEST ON FLUIDS AND ELECTROLYTES! SHOUT OUT TO SIMPLE NURSING GUY, HE NEEDS HIS PUSSY ATE!
That Horrible Feeling When
You only have twelve math questions to complete for a homework assignment, yet it feels as if you have 3,000.
I’ve been staring at my pharmacology assignment for the last couple hours and I’m just so freaking confused on what to do with them. I just want to go to sleep. Nursing school SUCKS sometimes. x-x #TheStruggleIsReal.
I have embraced my white girl status. AKA: I’m currently “hoarding” up a table at starbucks while happily drinking away my carmel frapps while studying for several exams this week.
