is it though? there’s no mention of vaginas being tied to womanhood or anything. should vaginas and menstruation not be talked about at all in relation to feminism?

The thing is, when genitalia takes such a prominent spot in protests (this is just one example, there are more), it becomes a given that vagina equates womanhood. It’s not stated outright, because everybody assumes it does.

I understand it comes from a desire to break the taboo of female sexuality and anatomy, and it’s definitely an important topic. I just don’t think it should be in the flag, so to speak.

It’s always made me quite uncomfortable, and i’m a cis woman. I find that putting so much focus on it is just a continuation of the objectification we suffer. It should be talked about, in contexts of health, sexuality, etc. But not identity, and that’s what I find not great.

And imagine how alienating it must be for trans women, to consider their genitals more important than their identity. It’s just not right.

same, its weird, somehow i just didnt find any shipping potential in that show at all even tho i was obsessed

Jack/Sawyer was a good one, but I lost interest in it fairly quick. 

I was a huge fan of Ben and tons of people paired him with Locke, but I just couldn’t. They absolutely had a solid chemistry and I definitely understand the pairing, but I just didn’t like Locke much (he’s a great character though)

The show had a ton of characters that I adored individually (Ben, Desmond, goddamn Mikhail remember him?? Ahh he was the best), but I didn’t really ship them with anybody (or felt the need to, honestly)
