Label Anatomy Diagram
In preparation for bringing our whole label together, we used an image of a flat label layout and had to identify each component. Through this, I found out what exactly needs to be included in my label. It will also be helpful having this to look at when doing my label, as I can check that I have everything I need.
In the holidays when doing the intial designs for my label, I researched the label requirements and made a list. This list is shown in the attached photo, along with some ideas of where to place them on a flat label layout.
It was interesting doing this activity, as you realise how much you actually need to include in the label. And as a designer, you have to make sure you have all of these components, while ensuring that the overall look and feel of the design is good.
