Conveniently “forgetting” to tell Nefarious beforehand, Lawrence had spent the past ten minutes setting up various Halloween decorations around the evil lair.

Without bothering to knock first, Qwark strolled into Nefarious’ office, whistling a tune that was far too cheery for this early in the morning. He was holding something behind his back.

“Hey, Nefarious! Just the man, er, robot I was looking for,” the Captain said. “No doubt you caught sight of the calendar this morning? I know our epic friendship has gotten off on the wrong rocky start,” Qwark went on, accidentally combining two idioms, “but in honor of what day it is, I thought I’d make you something.”

With a dramatic flourish, he presented the card he’d been hiding, placing it on the desk:

“I believe it’s called a ‘hug’, sir. I’m sorry, is this awkward?” 

He was really only using the hug as an excuse to stick a pair of reindeer antlers on his employer’s head. Or he was attempting to at least. The height difference between the two robots was making this task extremely difficult.

“Dr. Nefarious... it’s been a long time. I hear you’ve been helping out Ratchet and Clank lately.” The mayor stated, intrigued by the news brought to her by quite a lot of people across the galaxy. Honestly, it was quite a shock to her. “May I ask what brought this change of attitude?”
