What do you want to see?
How has everyone’s January been? Get any writing done? Want to let me know if you post your writing so I can reblog it? Did you like the daily prompts? What else would you like to see from Not Your English Teacher’s Creative Writing?
An Immortal tries their best to stay away from big historical events but ends up getting pulled in anyway.
What to do in your first edit pass on your NaNoWriMo work.
1. Fill in any details you made note of to look up later so you could keep writing. Did you put [character eye colour] or [name of coffee shop on corner in Boston] so you didn’t have to stop to look it up and break your writing flow? Look it up now.
2. Any typos or obvious grammar mistakes.
3. Decide if you’re going to keep and fix the parts you wrote just to get your word count for the day or just cut them.
4. Then start your first editing pass like you would on any other work.
NANOWRIMO IS Here!
National Novel Writing Month starts today! Remember if you are taking part to not stress and to do your best. If you are close to someone taking part they might need some help this month. Try to be their for them when they need to talk through the writer’s block and I’m sure they will appreciate a cup of tea. If you are going to be on the sidelines this nanowrimo have fun watching and cheering because we are one step closer to new content going out into the world.
Good Luck Everyone!
Happy Writing!
NANOWRIMO IS COMING!
As you may have noticed I have been posting tips and tricks for taking part in nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month). I will personally be a cheerleader this November rather then taking part myself (do to a personal project I’m working on yes it does have to do with the name change on this blog). If you are taking part and would let a personal cheerleader let me know and I will be happy to encourage you in your writing goals. Through out the rest of October and all of November I will continue to post writing advice and writing prompts to keep you writing. Hopefully you find them helpful.
