7. Are they in a romantic relationship? With who? How did they meet?

Nylah romanced her handsome Commander Cullen :) Cullen first met her after the conclave exploded, but Nylah was unconscious so she first met him the same way the game has you meet him.

31. Does this character ever put somebody else’ s needs before their own? Who do they do this for? How often do they do this?

Nylah does it often, for anyone that means something to her. Despite her harder exterior, she cares deeply for her friends and lover so she would do almost anything to help them out with little regard as to how it will affect her.

73. Do they prefer the indoors or outdoors?

Absolutely the outdoors. She grew up in the forest and that’s where she would prefer to be. She gets severe claustrophobia in the deep roads, they are basically her worst nightmare.

78. Who do they consider to be their best friend?

She is good friends with most of her inner circle and her advisors, but Dorian Pavus is her bestest friend :)

“And yet I’m still here.” Nylah spoke softly. Eyes flashed and his scar lifted into a smile.

“So you are.” A hand moved to the curve of her waist, pulling her gently towards him. “It seems too much to ask.” Shivers shot down her spine as his other hand reached for her. Close enough now she could feel each warm breath. “But I want to…” His voice trailed off as he leaned his head down. Her eyes softly closed and lips slowly parted as she felt him coming closer. Their lips barely brushing before the loud squeak of door hinges broke the silence.

“Commander!”

Eyes fluttered open and heads jerked back quickly. His hands stiffened around her. Anger filled him as he watched her crestfallen expression. Maker’s breath...why must everything go wrong?

“You wanted a copy of Sister Leliana’s report.” One of the commander’s scouts was walking towards them, clearly oblivious to what he had walked into. Nylah watched Cullen as his hands fell back to his side. He stood up tall again, anger creeping into his expression now as he turned to face the scout.

“What?!” Cullen’s icy voice had taken quite the turn from the soft, gentle one he had just been using on her. The scout looked up, confused by his sharp reply.

“Sister Leliana’s report? You said to deliver it, without delay.” Cullen didn’t say a word. But with his glare, he didn’t have to. Angry eyes burned into the man that had interrupted them. A look of shock filled the scouts eyes as they moved to the Inquisitor. Wearing a similar expression to the commander, she was staring at her boots, fingers running through her black hair as she shifted her weight from foot to foot. Realization dawned on him. The scout met with his angry commander’s stare again and he started backing away.

“Or...to your office! Right!” Turning, the scout quickly ran back through the door and slammed it closed. Alone again. Nylah closed her eyes, relieved that he was now gone, but sorely disappointed with how the situation had turned.

“If you need to…mmm!”

Gloved fingers slid across the back of her neck, palms pressed against her cheeks as Cullen guided her face towards his. Words replaced by a soft moan as her mouth was covered. He kissed her, hard. Desire getting the better of him. Shock finally wearing away, Nylah pushed herself against him, melting into him as she moved her lips across his. Her hands fell to his sides, grabbing fistfuls of his coat. She clung to him, desperate for this moment, wishing for it to never end. But Cullen suddenly went still, pulling back his head with an. apologetic look in his eye as realization hit him. Grabbing her forcefully and kissing her the way he did? What had he just done?

“I-I’m sorry.” He felt ashamed at his actions. But as he met her eyes, he could see she wasn’t mad. In fact, she was smiling. “That was...uh...really nice.” He added, offering a half smile. She grinned back and inched her hands up to grip the fur resting around his shoulders.

“That was perfect.” She grinned, and he smiled back. Nylah’s arms slowly slid around his neck as Cullen’s hands moved around her, coming to rest on small of her back. She tilted her head up and he lowered his. Finding her lips again, he pressed her body against him. Soft and slow this time, their mouths worked together. Taking a deep breath through her nose, she slipped her tongue to meet with his. He moaned and his arms tightened around her, lifting her up so only the tips of her feet were left touching the ground. Moving apart, then together again, soft sounds of their kiss filled the air. Long moments passed before the two broke away. Eyes still closed, Cullen pressed his forehead gently against hers.

“That was...better” he sighed.

She giggled breathlessly, “Yes, it was.”
