i have really been enjoying your posts about religion and atheism. while an atheist/agnostic myself, i do enjoy other points of view and I'm always so happy to see people who are religious yet not closed-minded. what a lot of people fail to distinguish (mostly atheists, i think) is that there is a difference between religion and its beliefs and organized religion. there is a difference between criticizing the establishment and the beliefs behind it, imo.

Definitely. I for one, though I believe in God, am quite against organised religion/the religious establishment because it is just so flawed and, actually, for the very point you brought up; that the association between the beliefs and the religion means that religious establishment tarnishes people's view of the belief.

3 things on deserted island: a never dying iPod, a really good book (idk what one but something I could reread over & over again), a scrapbook3 people: bestie, my mom, one that shall remain nameless lol (and it's probably not who y'all are thinking)5 things before I die: sunset from the top of the Eiffel tower, the white beaches of Santorini, fall in that deep all encompassing for always type of love, slow dance in the snow, meet some of my most favorite/important people in my life that I have yet to have the chance to so I can say in person how much they've helped/what they mean to me & hug them famous or not (and damn you Alice now I'm getting all misty at my desk) Favorite place: for more reasons that I care to explain, that go so much deeper than people will realize - Rockwood in NYCI love you too dear <3
