I love so much about him and the journey he goes on in canon, but then every so often he'll say the vilest shit and I want to hide behind a pillow and rethink all my life choices. It's obvious where it all comes from, what with Terry being his Dad and all... But, yeah. That.

12. do you talk to your family or in-real-life friends about your Blorbo?

Lol. Family. Friends. Select work colleagues and some passing acquaintances. I have a hard time shutting up about a hyperfixation, so... Unless I'm in a high alert kind of social situation, you're probably gonna find out about him.

Works out quite well, though, when I can get a bunch of software engineers to help with a fanfic plot point 🤣.

had another good writing day today, and i can say holding myself accountable here is definitely helping to keep me motivated!

i've written all the scenes except one for chapter ten, and this last scene i'm gonna start writing tomorrow is gonna be my fave of the chapter, for sure. things are happening!

anyway, i doubt i'll be able to write as much tomorrow or saturday as i'm pretty busy, but i'll still check in regardless.

i have to keep reminding myself that it's okay to just word-vomit on the first draft. who cares if i've written 'smirked/grinned' 5000x in a row, i just need to get the first draft finished, and i can fix all the cringe, repetitive bits, and plot holes later.

I am still writing it! I’ve not written for a month or so because I’ve not been in that state mentally and I kept getting distracted by life. But it’s still very much on my mind and I will get back to it soon!

My plan was to finish it completely before I uploaded it, because there’s a few things I want to do but I can already see the plot holes forming haha. I want it to be right before I post it 🫣

I also will be formatting a version of it separately from ao3 so that it reads nicely on an ebook/kindle etc. cause I know some people like to download a fic and read on an external device. 😅 idk if people will even care about it like that but it’s something I want to do just for myself. As a writer, reading back on past works can feel so cringe sometimes because reading a story is way, way different than writing it!

anyway, there was a bit of angst in the last chapter, but the guys are getting back to normal in this one and it's gonna be so fucking good when these idiots have their realisations i swear. i can't waittttttt!

yeahhhh i'm back to doing daily word count check ins for my longfic lol. i've really been in the mood to write, and whenever i've done this in the past it always helps me to hold myself accountable, and keeps me motivated to carry on.

i've not written a lot today, however, i've been making a few much needed changes to certain chapters.

i've just finally finished the first draft of chapter 9, so tomorrow morning i can start writing for chapter 10 (though some of it is already written in bits and pieces - i am NOT a linear writer lol).

although i won't be posting on ao3 as i go along, at least it helps me here to update on how i'm getting on with it (and also let people know that i have not forgotten about it!).

at the moment i'm planning for 27 chapters, but that could increase or decrease really.

i wish i could talk about what's happening lol. there's a bit of angst in chapter 9, but i can't say what exactly. it's getting me in my FEELS big time!
