So, I play the NYT word games pretty much every day and it occurred to me today while playing Strands to wonder how it interacts with my ADHD.

Like, specifically, that thing where you're talking and you forget the key word in a sentence and lose track of everything you were trying to say because you get so distracted trying to remember what the word you wanted is.

I wonder if playing games like Strands helps strengthen word recall, or if it stresses the brain out even more? I couldn't find anything written about it with a quick search, so I don't know if any research has been done in that area. Any thoughts?

Started NYT Strands earlier today but couldn't find anything.

Just tried again and remembered what date today is, and sure enough 😂

I got down to the last two words on today's Pride-themed Starnds and I fully thought they had "ally" as one of the words but no actual LGBTQIA+ people and the way I was about to side-eye them so hard
