It was a bustling night in the Hidden City, much like every other. From the sky, the people hurrying around far below looked akin to small blobs, and the hustling noise delicately reaching upwards was almost hushed, a familiar and comforting accompaniment to the dots and blotches of light illuminating the City in a patchwork of colors, like a stained-glass window. Far above the city flew two figures at a leisurely pace, the wind dusting through hair, feather, and fur as they watched the lights drift by underneath them. Bandit was perched atop Nyx's back, watching below them, awestruck by the birds-eye view of the Hidden City, tail lifted serenely. She chittered and purred quietly, enjoying their time together. But of course, what goes up, must come down. With the both of them staring at the ground, they didn't notice anything around them until it was too late. Suddenly, there was a lurch as Bandit jerked to the side, and- "NYX!" And barely a moment later, everything had gone black. @alienembers
