Here is an @orochihigh OC, Sora-chan!
She is a paradise flying snake (Chrysopelea paradisi) who is 16 and in her first year at Orochi High. She’s obsessed with all flying things and often gets distracted during classes thinking about what stunts she can be pulling off in the trees. It’s probably because she’s just getting good at gliding, though—in other words, leaping and actually achieving a solid landing is a new thing for her. (This is her fifth pair of glasses in two years—she’s banged up so many!)
She’s joined the Koudo club, but feels a little out of place there because she’s on the smaller side. Because of her flight practice, though, she can pull off some special sidewinder-like moves, so that makes her feel better.
She’s honestly kind of a snerd, and enjoys playing video games, acting (does Orochi High have an improv team?) and talking about movies (she really likes Sntar Wars and Iguana vs. Snakes, which is her new fave action film, despite the snakes being the villains).
Man sorry guys I feel like she looks way too fancy shmancy but I used this snek as a reference and wanted to do the species justice
And here's my attempt at a SnOC for @orochihigh's snanga! This is Apophis, the school's resident snusic(?) snerd. He plays the snaxophone. How, you ask? I have no idea. He also has a tendency to stick his head in places it doesn't belong, such as other people's conversations. The last bit is him interrupting a convo between Truffle and Marzi-chan. Marzi-chan is my very fav, I wish I could have done her justice. However, I've very proud of my Truffle, so I will probably post that separately. I hope you like it!
Hatchi and Nori have a chat in the hallway between classes.
I’d been planning on drawing these two together since I first came up with Nori! Hatchi was actually drawn months ago ehehe, I just added Nori in!
idk what’s up with the floor okay leave me alone
EDIT: oh god i missed her interrupted band on her neck omg
Okay so I modified Nori’s watercycle AGAIN because I wasn’t very happy with the first iteration being basically a fish tank on wheels.
LET’S GO OVER SOME OF THE FEATURES!
The curved rubber lip is to prevent water within the cycle from splashing out during movement. The lip is curved inwards so it may redirect stray drops back into the tank. This doesn’t prevent giant sloshes from escaping. It also allows the occupant to comfortably rest their appendages on the edge of the tank.
The collapsible desk is affixed to the cycle via suction cups that attach to the side. It can be removed at any time.
The bag clip is simply a plastic clip that hangs on the edge of the cycle. It can be removed at any time.
The drainage plug is, of course, to drain out old water in the cycle so it may be replaced.
The tires can be switched out to more specialized types, like offroad tires or road tires (think like a bicycle). However Nori is only really ever out of the water for school and domestic outings with friends, so all-terrains are all she needs.
The wheel lock is pressed downward when in motion and can be popped up when parked, like during classes.
The cycle is operated by the occupant shifting their weight to the front and back of the tank. This will, in turn, cause it to move forward, backward, or slow down. Shifting left or right also causes the cycle to turn in that direction. However, assistance via the push handle is advised while going uphill or downhill.
If you have an aquatic SnOC in the O-Hi universe or can think of some other application for the watercycle, feel free to use this design and add more accessories like the bag-clip and desk! :D
You know I had to. I came up with her yesterday and I couldn’t resist.
This is my @orochihigh Original Snaracter, or SnOC, Nori-chan the black-banded sea krait!
She has a watercycle that she uses to get to some of her elective classes (powered by her shifting her weight to the front or back and letting gravity do the rest), but she normally uses water pipes to travel about the school (I saw someone suggest this on O-hi’s tumblr page and it attributed to Nori’s creation).
Originally from Nagasnaki, Nori is a tenacious, passionate student. Her favourite subject is Language Artsss and Graphic Snesign.
Meanwhile, over at @orochihigh …
It’s no good Mochi, if you’re a Hognose, you HAVE to eat your m.ouse sideways, even if you’re not aware that you do it too. It’s just a Hognose thing. XD
