This past weekend I said goodbye to the house and place I called home for nearly 28 years. So many memories. My parents did such an impeccable job of making sure my siblings and I grew up with more opportunities than they had, in an accepting, enriching and loving place - one that was full of history & culture, had excellent schools and embraced diversity. I’m lucky to still have a community of people in Chicago, so I’ll be back at some point, I’m sure. But either way, I will forever call Oak Park home. Cheers to your next chapter, parents! Love you.
