Summary: basically reader is best friends with momo and finds out about their powers. Reader having powers herself that she hid decides to team up with the group.
Chapter 1: Wdym Aliens and ghosts are real?
The school bell had rung. The loud bell was mellowed out by the chatting sound coming from students gathering their stuff and leaving to go home for the day. You weren’t the worst at school but you also weren’t the best, still better than your bestie Momo of course (you tutored her the best you could). Today school has felt longer than usual like you were stuck in some type of matrix that you just couldn’t escape. It had been torture since you hardly got any sleep last night working on late night projects and helping your family. You felt so sluggish through the day like your body would give out and collapse but at last it was over now, you could finally go home and relax.
Things had been getting hard, you felt like your only friend really had been busy hanging out with some guy. It was normal for Momo to have boyfriends that were usually trash and ended up being dramatic sleepover at your house that consisted of movie marathons and binge eating till the sun came up but this felt different. It felt like she was treating him how she treated you, like a bestie.
It’s whatever though, jealous didn’t look good on you so you just moved on. You collected your books and homework putting them in your bag before walking out the classroom doors and down the hall. The heel of your shoes clicked against the floor. You had put your headphones on and played one of your top songs in your emo ass playlist. The music echoed through your head as you let the thoughts be drowned out by its melody. You couldn’t hear Momo in the background shouting out your name. She chased after you still shouting and calling out for you. Eventually you felt her hand on your shoulder, a small gasp came from out of your mouth as she had completely caught you off guard. You immediately paused your music and gave her your attention trying to hide how excited you were.
“Yo! I’ve been calling your name!”
“Sorry I couldn’t hear you that well hehe…”
“You’re all good I just wanted to know if you wanted to come over later?”
Your eyes practically lit up like a lamp. She was finally inviting you over again? The joy you felt couldn’t be unfazed! Until you got there of course and you saw that nerd at her house as well. Momo introduced the two of you.
“Oakrun this is my bestie! And bestie this is Oakrun,” she said as he gave you a big hug almost knocking the books out of your hands. You have this Oakrun guy a deep glare. Nervousness overcame the geek and he confessed everything. Everything about the aliens, everything about the ghosts, everything about Momos powers. As much as you wanted to be shocked you knew about this. You knew all that existed well everything except that momo also had powers sort of like you that she was also keeping secret.
Momo gasped and hit Oakrun over the head scolding him for telling you there secrets. She begged you not to tell anyone else, you calmly explained that you knew that ghost and Aliens were real and also that you had powers of your own.
“What!? Since when! Why didn’t you tell me! We’re practically sisters!” She was flabbergasted by this mew discovery.
“I thought you’d think I’m crazy!” You defended yourself as you laughed at her expression. Oakrun just kinda let out a nervous laugh glad that this played out well. You guys all chatted for a bit more about this before actually starting the homework that was due Monday. You noticed how smart Oakrun actually was when he wasn’t acting like a total dork.
