neben der Spirale ist das Ruder mit dem Maui-haken und herz wohl das typische Symbol für Vaiana.

Aside from the spiral, the oar with the Maui hook and heart is probably Moana's typical symbol.

und das wohl sie das gekritzel von Maui am Anfang, alles andere als Toll fand.Im ersten Abenteuer hat Vaiana wortwörtlich nur selten das Steuer in der Hand.

And she probably didn't like Maui's scribbles at the beginning. In the first adventure, Moana literally rarely holds the helm.

Der größte Einsatz, ist der Angriff der Kokomura! Naja und zum nerven von Maui.

Im 2ten Film, ist das Ruder der stumme Beweis wie sehr Vaiana an Maui denken musste und ihn vermisste.Sie hat es fast immer, bei sich und das obwohl Ihre Boote im 2ten Film viel zu groß sind um damit gesteuert zu werden.

In the second film, the rudder is silent proof of how much Moana thought of Maui and missed him. She has it with her almost all the time, even though her boats in the second film are much too big to be steered with it.

in einer gelöschten Scene sehen wir das Sie sehr an dem Ruder hängt.

In a deleted scene, we see that she is very attached to the rudder.

Erst sollte ja das Muschelhorn zu ihrer Göttergabe werden, aber dann wurde es das Ruder. Ich finde die Entscheidung gut.

At first, the conch was supposed to be her gift from the gods, but then it became the rudder. I think that's a good decision.

Und natürlich ist es das perfekte Gegenstück zu Mauis haken. 😘

And of course, it's the perfect counterpart to Maui's hook. 😘

Description

The paintings ‘Venus Presenting Aeneas with Armour Forged by Vulcan’ and ‘Hercules at the Crossroads’ were commissioned for Prince Joseph Wenzel I von Liechtenstein by one of his agents in Rome, both are initialled ‘P.B.’ and dated 1748. The first is a smokily evocative, but also strikingly faithful illustration of a celebrated episode from Book VIII of Virgil’s ‘Aeneid’. It represents the epic’s hero, Aeneas, being presented with armour and most prominently a shield by his own mother, the goddess Venus, who is accompanied by winged Cupid and another cherub. Virgil places their meeting by a cool stream. In the foreground Batoni has included the figure of a river god with his traditional attributes of an oar and an urn from which water flows. The fact that he is accompanied by a wolf alludes to the story of the foundation of the eternal city by Romulus, who – with his twin Remus – was suckled by a she-wolf, and therefore also to Aeneas’s role in its legendary history.
