This was such an amazing episode!

We finally saw more of Beth Childs. And in such a beautiful scene. Now I’ll need to go back and rewatch all the Sarah as Beth episodes.

We saw new elements of Rachel and Felix’ personalities. I was looking forward to that scene so much. And it was as amazing as it was heartbreaking. Both of them are suffering so much. I hope Rachel escapes Dyad soon. (Felix hit Rachel with a paintbrush so... I was kind of right?)

And thanks to that interaction, Scott found someone who seems to know Professor Duncan’s cypher! I wonder if the Professor expected Rachel to find the book eventually?

The extended dream sequences were wonderful. Charlotte was there! And Beth!

We learnt a lot more about the clone disease. Paul redeemed himself quite well in my opinion. To think I was rather inclined to hate him just two episodes ago. RIP Paul and Miller :( Did we ever find out Miller’s full name?

I hope the explosion didn’t kill anyone else

And Helena came back for Sarah!

I’m forgetting a ton more stuff, probably.

“Felix makes over Sarah to look like Rachel, but not before Sarah confirms for the sixteenth time that Delphine is going to help her with Helena. Felix settles on a white suit and gives Sarah a wig that’s like the Kohls version of Rachel’s Saks hair. Sarah as Rachel meets with Ferdinand and pretty much the first thing out of her mouth is, “Castor kidnapped Helena.” But he doesn’t give a shit. He just wants to see Sarah and her magical ovaries with his own eyes and get going. Problem? OB Season 2.5 RECAP, EP3: Oh, An Equation...

Some very interesting stuff went down on last week's episode! Alison learned that Beth isn't dead! Beth learned that Alison doesn't appreciate people dying! Sarah learned that patriarchal concepts can be manipulated to your advantage while in the possession of clones! Paul learned you shouldn't try and poison people because you'll only poison yourself! It was a very educational episode...

This week is also looking pretty brainy, but what can we expect? It's OB!

We open on the hallway outside the loft, Sarah is returning from what has been a truly confusing day.

"Male clones?" She mutters to herself "I have to tell the others..." She stops just outside the door to collect herself.

Oh, it should be noted that no one has found Jessie's hat because it was stolen by Felix's neighbor. It's a very nice hat.

Anyways, Sarah throws open the door and sees that Cosima and Delphine have created some sort of weird science lab in the middle of the room.

She closes the door behind her and says "What the hell Cos?" Then, eying the science she asks "Any other surprises in here?" Enter Felix...

...Beth in tow. Surprise!

We cut to the title which is honestly way too chill. It should be noted that the creators in season 2.5 just decided to put 'Tatiana Maslany' twelve times instead of one. She definitely deserves it...

The opening ends and we see the aftermath of what was probably Sarah yelling at Beth.

"Is anyone happy to see me?" Beth wonders out loud (Don't worry Beth, Clone Club is!). Sarah ignores her instead saying:

It's a pretty good point actually and Beth doesn't know what to say. Sarah speaks again, "I was just coming here to tell you about male clones I didn't expect this shite storm..." This sentence, of course, gets a barrage of questions from the room.

Sarah answers as best she can, explaining the entire thing with Marion. Cosima's hands are in a flurry.

"Well, Sarah you have to go back! Find out all you can about this Castor thing and then like go from there. This is hella complex." Delphine forces her to stop flailing.

"She's right, I think. We have to work on the cure so you must do research." Sarah rolls her eyes. "Take Beth!" She adds, turning back to science.

Sarah rolls her eyes again.

We come back from the break to see Sarah and Beth in Siobhan's truck.

An awkward silence fills the air. Finally Beth decides to break it.

"How's our boyfriend, Paul?"

Sarah looks uncomfortable. "He might have accidentally poisoned himself." She says. Beth oh's and nods. "I mean I'm pretty sure he'll be fine. Probably." The silence settles back over the vehicle. Sarah clears her throat.

"How 'bout we turn on the radio?" Beth says after several painful moments. Sarah agrees instantly and the sound of "It's Raining Men" fills the car.

Back with Cophine some crazy science is going down. Literally. They are actually doing science this time. They try to explain what's happening to Felix but all the really sticks is that it's an equation, and a big one at that. Bored, he leaves to go hang with Ramon which gives us this beautiful exchange:

Cosima and Delphine have the loft to themselves so Cosima coughs to remind the audience that now is so not the time for that. They say some sciencey stuff and look at microscopes. I'm not really sure what's going on at this point. I nearly failed biology. This is for one of you analysis people to decode. I just provide the illustrations. Except for this next one.

Oh! It is important to point out that Delphine trips over the tank with Helena's eggs in them. Sweet! Treatment!

Back with Team PunkCop, things are looking researchy. Sarah and Beth are pouring over books together. It's like the weird library au we didn't know we wanted.

"Hey! I found something!" Beth says as she shoves a book Sarah's way. Sarah looks at it.

Now it's Beth's turn to roll her eyes. She summarizes the myth much like a wikipedia page would. It's all Greek to Sarah.

Beth isn't sure what to do either, but she thinks she has an idea of someone who might. Looks like it's back to Marion!

We cut briefly to Felix's date with Ramon. They are high.

It's awesome.

PunkCop is in the mansion. They're waiting for Marion to show up and it's taking forever. Sarah sighs and turns to Beth.

"Does Alison know you're back?" Beth nods. "Did she take it well?" She shakes her head. Sarah takes this in for a second. "What is up with you two anyways? It's like some sort of weird soap opera going down." Beth laughs lightly and shrugs.

"I don't know...She was here. We spent a lot of time together. I taught her how to fend for herself..." She trails off.

"Then you jumped in front of a train." Sarah says bluntly.

Marion shows up, breaking up the party. She tells Sarah she has to take Greek Mythology 101 before she can answer her question. (Looks like Sarah won't miss that class after all!). Beth decides to ollie out.

We close the episode with Cophine in the loft. Delphine is injecting a treatment into Cosmia's arm.

How romantic...

OB Season 2.5 RECAP, EP2: These Cookies Are Genius

Last week's episode, The Start of Something New, certainly was something different. Rachel getting it on like Black Beard, Cophine getting off like a prostitute named Black Beard, Helena starting fires, and Beth bursting back into existence like the phoenix we all knew her to be. This weeks episode picks up pretty much right where we left off, or rather precisely 486 seconds later...

Cophine is pretty much in awe of Beth's reappearance, and rightfully so. They are also a little bummed that it interrupted make-outs but hey priorities. They question where the hell Beth has been to which she replies:

Thanks Officer Girl Scout, Cos needed that.

Now we check in with Sarah, who has been trying to figure out why the new clones don't have her face. She even goes as far as to dress them up in leather but to no avail, that is definitely not Tmas.

To make matters worse, Scarface will not stop following her around. "Why would you create such an obnoxious creature?" Sarah asks, pushing away Scar's head. "The white male? I have no idea." Marion says, "But I like to send him to town hall meetings with a script because his vote actually counts for something." Hey, when life gives you lemons, you take advantage of a patriarchal society, am I right?

Elsewhere, Alison is baking cookies with Donnie's (sort of) help. Which is to say that Alison is baking cookies and Donnie is licking the spoon. Her clone phone rings and she dramatically sighs and goes to answer.

It's Cosima, she tells Alison to come to the loft quick. Before Alison can ask, Cos hangs up without saying goodbye. Sarah would be so proud.

Speaking of Sarah, she's learning a lot of new things. One, Scarface can only pant and make whining noises when in the presence of pretty girls. Two, Charlotte and Kira are two of the most terrifying children to have ever existed. Three, Big Dick Paul has more than just female clone notches in his belt.

She also learns some interesting things about Project Castor, mainly that it was designed to create The Rowdyruff Boys. According to Paul, that didn't quite work out, maybe they didn't add enough puppy dog tail?

Oh and Paul realizes that he really should not have put that drugged bottle of alcohol back in the cabinet because it came back to bite him.

Sarah is beginning to think she should never play hostess.

At the loft, Beth is waiting anxiously for Ali's arrival. "Just chill, she missed you, she wants to see you." Cosima offers from the couch. Delphine nods in agreement, too wrapped up in studying Cosima's potential cure to say real words. Just then Alison bursts into the room looking like a worried mother. Her eyes meet Beth's...

...and she slaps that leaving son-of-a-gun.

With that out of her system, she pulls out a tin of fresh baked cookies and waits for an explanation and an apology. Maybe 1,000,000 apologies. Beth has a lot to make up for, Alison isn't going to let this go easy.

Lastly we are shown a shot of the sun setting on the ocean, The Ice Queen sails away majestically. Rachel has a parrot. She looks put together in a rugged sort of way. She also looks ready to murder someone.

It's hot.

It looks like it's going to be a very interesting season kids! Tune in next week!
