     Macbeth was struggling to get through all these papers on time. Working on his university degree—and procrastinating this as long as he could—he had to work quickly and efficiently. Then, some girl bumped into him, making him nearly jump out of his seat. The already paranoid and stressed man almost yelled at the girl, but stopped himself. “S-Sorry, little busy,” he mumbled, quickly going back to typing. Maybe he should hit that save button before something goes wrong…

OOC:If we’re going based off of canon, it’s hands down Augustus x Livia. Their relationship is so much more than a grab for power—which is what I believe what it started as. They faced real struggles together (like their miscarriage), and the complexity of their relationship in later years was more than just politics. In many accounts she is regarded as his equal intellectually, and he’s treated her as such by allowing her many freedoms women of the time were not granted.

Augustus x Livia has been one of my longest-standing OTPs for him. She’s the only one that can fully tolerate him (and reign him in when need be.)They've got their own tag for crying out loud.They might give me feels...

                    Jumping between the line of fire, or rather, a knife, was                     sort of instinctual.  Angry, temperamental kings were one                    thing, but when both of your ‘children’ weren’t really yours                    to claim, were nothing but ruses to provide a line of                     successors, he was a bit careless.  He could always                    make another deal, so he claimed.                                That anger is what led to this situation.  Protecting                              his false-sister had been a knee-jerk reaction.  The                               dagger striking his abdomen was a blinding pain, one                               that brought him to his knees.  He pulled it out, his                               hands balling into fists, pressing against the wound                               as the blade fell to the ground.                                        "---I hope this makes up for it."  Words said, a line                                           of guilt underneath them.  He hated the life that                                           he had been brought into, and his death would                                            take him away from it, but he knew she too                                            suffered, the loss of her brother hitting her hard.                                           No matter how often he'd apologized, he felt guilty                                            about it.  And would die doing so.
