no one ever talks about how if you're a woman who:

• has an earthy or bohemian style

• have down to earth hobbies & pursuits (gardening, hiking, crocheting, collecting rocks, etc)

• have a demure personality & good at listening

people (romantically & platonically) think you're like some manic pixie dream girl who is supposed to heal them and be their therapist. and when you can't be all of that for them (because you're not a therapist & sometimes have bad days), they get mad or disappointed at you and want to treat you like you're defected and ditch you quickly.

Sometimes we genuinely have to dial back the amount of serious words we use as jokes here on Tumblr. Like I really do think that some of y'all legitimately forget that gaslighting and objectifying are like words with very serious definitions behind them, that shouldn't be taken lightly, and it can be harmful when they're watered down to quirk words to add to your hehe hehe haha haha funny posts.

Like sometimes I think about how these kinds of words even became punchlines in the first place when there are people out there who are victims of one or the other (or both) and might just have tramua surrounding it. But that's a discussion for either another day, post, or something someone else can elaborate on via reblog.
