I once messaged wellingtongoose saying that as an autistic I found her meta's on Sherlocks autism super shitty and offensive and she basically dismissed me. I was on anon at the time. Sherlockology has some interesting reviews of the entire S4 of CP which doesn't contain spoilers but does sort of have clues as to how the Martin-conflict ended. Really vague clues. TBH I spent the whole of the new episode tensed to see what would happen with Martin/MJN air because I really want the series to continue (with or without Benedict though I'd like him to stay if he could) plus I really want Martins character to stay aurhghghg sorry I am also having feels why is a comedy also so sad

Oh really?  I'll be checking that out!  I've read in a couple places that Mr. Finnemore would love for Cabin Pressure to continue for a long time after the alphabet ends (which I can't blame him: no one wants their first creations to ever end, especially not when they grow to be well known). 

I'm with you, even if Cumberbatch leaves Cabin Pressure, Martin would still be pretty much Martin.  The voice and some of the subtle nuances would be different, but Finnemore would still be writing all the characters.  I honestly didn't notice that Newcastle had a different voice actor the first time I had heard it.  I don't know how most of the Fandot would feel about it though; we all saw what happened when Mr. Finnemore talked about Martin's hairline.

As for your last sentence, it's like that quote: "tragedy is comedy plus time."  And when you think about it, most comedies are really awful things happening to everyday people.  It's the reactions to these really awful things that make it funny.  We know it's a good story when we feel empathy for characters.  I mean, they're just voices on the radio, but we actually feel like we can connect with them.

Don't feel like you have to apologize at all!  I love hearing other people's thoughts and opinions on things like this!  It's amazing to see differing opinions and ideas.  I'm kind of sorry I'm always so longwinded, though!
