Hot take:
Shipping is fine, but shippers aren't sometimes. Like srsly, these kinds of people who attack others for not supporting their ship that feel like their own ship is superior to others are the most so-called "obsessive shippers". Unless if a ship is not okay if it's a pedophilic, toxic-behavior, incest, beastiality or some other "illegal explanation", then that's correct that it's not okay. But especially if a ship is straight or just a 1-2 year age gap, that's not much and not even a big deal, these entitled shippers took it to the next level by attacking those people who shippers those "not-of-a-big-deal ships". There is so much hypocrisy, hate speeches, misandry, and other things or types of discrimination that are not good happening around with these fandoms nowadays. Y'all are fuckin' toxic.
Edit: Since y'all been saying "heterophobia" is not a thing, which it actually isn't, I've replaced it with "hate speech" which still applies to the context of my hot take.
