For @obsessivewriter who apparently got two people assigned to her because I sure hope I didn’t misread the email I got  :)

The prompt was a gift based on one of her fics and the very first one I had already read, loved and got stuck in my head was The King and The Master of War (go read it if you haven’t already!) and I knew that was it. I loved a line in particular and decided to run with it:

And now a raven was en route to the Citadel with the official document informing the archmaesters of their marriage, and soon the scribes would be transcribing it into the books that held the history of Westeros. It made Gendry warm to think that in a thousand years, when a scholar looked through the records, his name would be found right next to Arya's.

Sorry I was late! Internet decided to leave me a week ago but we made it in the nick of time!

The original recipient wanted a modern AU, so to fit the prompt I ended up drawing a reincarnated Gendry and Arya going to a museum and seeing a painting of their former selves: The blacksmith King who made his own crown, and The Queen of Wolves (painted with their firstborn daughter and yet to be born second child).

Despite his humble origins, Gendry Baratheon is named king of Westeros, with Ser Arya Stark serving as his Master of War. Gendry is burning the candle at both ends: rebuilding the city during the day and secretly loving a woman at night.

About Those Words whatever pre-fic headcanons about how they end up where they are when the fic starts. Distant horizons, something you were not able to fit in our something you've been ambivalent about including.

Your questions always make me think so hard and go back through my notes, so thank you for that! Now I get a good chance to recap on my thoughts! Hahaha

For Those Words: My overall headcanon is pretty much a basic fix-it. Arya survives King's Landing, but rather than having notions that she needs to sail off into the sunset, she tells Gendry the classic "I'm not sure about being your lady, but I'll be your family." (It's actually crossed my mind more than once to make Mine Is The Fury the official prequel to Those Words)

For Distant Horizons: I actually do have a massive plot twist that's been looming around in my brain for a while now, but I'm still very undecided as to whether or not I should let it happen....

6 - Are there any pieces of writing out there that have really inspired or influenced your own?

Yes! I have a group chat with myself so I can create a masterlist of favourite fics of mine. Unfortunately, my phone was stolen in the beggining of the year and I lost most of what I’d saved. Either way, among my favorites are:

26 - Hardest thing you’ve ever written?

Three Nights in Hell (the one I’m currently working on) and The Ghost of Lambertville High. I love plotting casefiles, but writing them and making sure there are no plot holes is really hard
