Obsidian is so right for making this canon
you know now that im looking at it at like a person height this backyard is poorly maintained
Poor gamer culture is voting for The Outer Worlds and Obsidian for PlayStation’s Game of the Year polls even though you haven’t actually played the game.
You know what’s interesting about The Outer Worlds upcoming launch?
No Pre-Order bonuses. No special clothing or additional weapons. No add-ons or exclusive orders, buy nows or forever lose your chances. Sure, on PS4 they’ll give you like, what? A pack of avatars? But that’s nothing, when compared to what the majority of retailers/companies try to entice buyers with nowadays, and a selling tactic even smaller studios are guilty of doing.
But as far as I’ve seen, The Outer Worlds is banking on its own promised merit, the reputation of Obsidian and it’s creative teams as its main marketing strategy, and I think that’s something that shouldn’t be overlooked, especially in this day and age of gaming.
My Extensive Political Manifesto (Not really, I just want an RTS game set in the Fallout universe, or the Dishonored universe IDK)
1. Bethesda should totally make a Fallout Themed RTS game. Fallout is a very popular video game series and the RTS formula has also become more and more popular in recent years.
2. Let Obsidian and a veteran developer of RTS games (like those delightful Creative Assembly chaps who have made the highly successful Total War games) have control over everything without absolutely no interference from Bethesda whatsoever. Not only would Fallout work in a Total War style RTS system it would thrive when you consider all the different canonical factions there are as well as the importance of resources and survival.
3. Once that's done, give Dishonored the same RTS treatment with CA but with Arkane Studios in lieu of Obsidian. (Look to Frostpunk for a vague idea in what I’m looking for.)
4. Lock up Todd Howard in a dark dungeon served only maggoty bread and jars of stale piss.
I wanna see whats at the top of the tree so comence project Stairway to Heaven
Who else is hyped?
