I truly sacrificed to create this ridiculous mug. biting clay is a bad sensory experience 😔 who would have guessed
I’m tempted not to glaze the bite marks so it looks like it was bitten through the glaze lmao
I showed this to my husband and he said he wants four mugs like this in various states of eaten, so he can swap when no one’s looking and make it look like he’s actually eating it.
One of the best stories humanity ever produced was a draft of a rewrite of the Epic of Gilgamesh written by a Ecuadorian poet in 1935. It was tossed into a fireplace by an angry boy and lost forever. Another of humanity's best was told 65,000 years ago and was overheard by a small tribe of embarked Neanderthals boating down a river in what is now northern Georgia. A short woman at the bank scrubbed a wooden idol in the water and sang an ancient tale in an unknown language. These two are eclipsed by everything produced by two brothers at the coast of what is now Cameroon between 503 BC and 490 BC, which they shared with some family and friends, and were beloved by everyone except a sour uncle.
hero cat fights the power
each year congress people should be required to go on a field trip where they each get dumped in the middle of a random u.s. town & handed a phone with google maps & forced to find their way back to washington solely through the use of local public transportation systems.
to be clear i don't think this would improve our political reality in any way, but it would be fun to watch
The West Wing: 20 Hours in America
that is literally the plot of the entire episode.
True equality was reached in Jurassic Park 1993 with Robert Muldoon and Dr. Ellie Sattler wearing the same length shorts.
you just don't get shit like this with 8-episode streaming seasons

Kelp gull (Larus dominicanus)
That cat is legitimately getting a state funeral, several statues, a weepy 10 thousand word obituary from The Guardian and an Elton John tribute song when he goes.
This was my genuine first thought upon seeing the first images of Herbert West: Re-Animator

It’s the fact that
1) OP made a post that seemed interactive but then
2) Did NOT want anyone to actually engage
I remember tumblr at the time. It wouldn’t have changed OP’s post so lmao big L for OP making it weird
But best of all:
Most people didn’t realize there WAS a response until this fuckin UFO went by.

The ancient texts were true… They DO have a reaction image for everything…
someone could probably say something pretty about fossils, constellations, and stars in the sky

I've made this exact post like 3 different times atp but. It's endlessly funny when people (especially tech company people) treat Asimov's three laws as a legit proposed framework for Artificial Intelligence safety when like. Nearly every single Asimov story they're featured in involves something going wrong as a result of a robot trying to follow three three laws in a situation that makes execution of the laws ambiguous or contradictory. They're not a guideline for legit AI programming they're a plot device designed to cause problems due to interacting in weird ways with complicated hypothetical situations!
we've implemented the safety standards from the award-winning These Are Insufficient Safety Standards series of novels!
Star Trek mental health counselors at a conference trading horror stories realize they’re all talking about Miles O’Brien.
Give it up to Cobra Bubbles regaining his composure and going back to business with Nani after having Stitch randomly chuck a heavy ass book at his face like that.
He probably was fuming by the time he got into his car after his shades became a casualty of the attack.
"Thus far you have been adrift in the sheltered harbor of my patience" is the most amazing line what the fluff. We don't just forget how clever the screenplay was comedy wise and profound emotionally, it often did both at once my goodness
