i sometimes stay up at night thinking about how mack read a book for will. that's like modern-day "i crossed an ocean for you" because god knows none of us even look it up when someone says "hey you should read this" and yet mack jumped in on that book club and gobbled that thang up just because will was excited about it and he knew it would make will happy and proud :')))

also like to be honest,, i didn’t think i would be enjoying karnaca’s atmosphere and aesthetic as much as i am. one of the reasons i’ve been avoiding dh2 until now was that karnaca felt too.. pretty and warm. compared to my ugly, repulsive, horrible, rat-infested, but nonetheless comfe in a special way, dunwall. but no i’m actually digging this dark italy au. like it’s warm.. but it still has those repulsive dh vibes. i love it. i was afraid they strayed from that because i’ve been seeing only pretty gifs of dh2 but like... it still has the vibes. just in dh1 it was maybe more potent because it was already kinda dark and often rainy. but yea karnaca is def rotten and repulsive as well.

one thing i don’t love tho is.. voiced player characters. one of my favourite things about dh1 was exactly the opposite- silence. dh is the game i play when i Really don’t want to listen to anyone or to hear constant orders and do this and do that and fetch this thing. and someone is constantly fucking talking in other games. but i loved turning on dh, just getting a briefing of my mission, and being omw. and then it was just.. silent. just me and the shadows. and the rats. and no remarks by corvo. the only convos you hear during missions are those of the guards or other npcs, which you are free to ignore. so it just kinda bothers me that now like... they talk. like i love corvo and emily (who i’m playing as rn) but,, it took away that special feeling that dh had. and i kinda went berserk with emily, she snapped, and her comments are so edgy bro i.. don’t know if i like them or dislike them lmao

another thing that slightly bothers me is that the outsider has a different va. which is like,, not that deep or horrible i know but. the outsider in dh1 always seemed almost disinterested. like he simply... observed, made his comments, but he kinda.. at least imo, didn’t put his personal opinions or feelings into those comments? whereas this outsider seems a little bit more malicious or smthin. i can’t quite word it but there is simply this slight difference that i’ve personally noticed that probably no one else has lmao Don’t even mind me

also the water textures are beautiful i cannot stop staring at the water. also i had no idea billie was in this game i thought she was only in doto. i love her and this was a pleasant surprise.

my mom really manages to find a conspiracy in everything huh. she was just yelling at the tv watching the Olympics because they did a minor deduction on a fault in the performance and she thought it was biased and clearly they have something against these specific athletes or whatever
