It was 8.30 in the morning and you woke up because of a text. You groaned but as you noticed it was from JJ, you smiled. But when you realize you’re smiling you immediately stopped. No pogue on pogue macking Y/N he doesn’t even like you You thought to yourself. 

JJ: wake up sleepy princess we’re coming to get you in 30

Y/N: okay dumbass thanks for the reminder

You quickly took a shower, packed some food into your bag, just like Kie does, since you guys were the ones who were getting food supplies to the gang. You looked at the time, it was 9.1, still no notification from anyone. You knew you were the last person to get into the boat, but you still got worried. 

As you patiently waited outside, petting your dog, you heard a similar voice shouting your name.

“Y/N, the best Pogue on the Earth, mademoiselle” JJ bowed his head and offered his hand. HMS Pogue and the gang were getting closer to you.

“Hi JJ!” You accept his offer, took him by the hand, hugged him and get into the boat. As soon as you greeted everyone, you sat down by JJ. He smiled at your actions.

“So, what took you guys so long?” You asked everyone while John B calmly, driving the boat.

“Pope’s dad asked us to deliver some stuff and we couldn’t say no. We have plenty of time and if we split the stuff, we thought it would end fast.” JJ explained to you.

“Yeah it’s not gonna take long, besides it’ll be some kind of exercise” Kie smiled at you, then stealing glances at Pope. Ah these lovers. 

“That’s cool, I’d love to help” you said genuinely. JJ smiled at how genuine you were, sitting closer to you. You and JJ started to talk about normal stuff. He asked you how was your job at the Surf Shop, you asked him how he was feeling. You knew about his dad and you were so worried about JJ. Despite all of your worries, JJ reassured you that he’s completely fine and if something happens he’ll directly come to you. You just grinned and mumbled an “whatever you say JJ” 

When you were enjoying JJ’s company by your side, you saw Pope and Kie cuddling and enjoying each other presence. JJ whispered,

“Isn’t it obvious they like each other?” He giggled.

“Yeah and it melts my heart” You giggled back looking at him. You both wished you guys could be like that. After all the peaceful moments, John B made an announcement.

“You four lovebirds, stop making me feel like a fifth wheel, I’ll have Sarah soon so you can cry, but anyways so here’s Figure 8, it’s our stop for today. Let’s go.” John B gave everyone supplies and a place to go. Before you leave, JJ came beside you.

“You sure you wanna go alone? We can go together?” He asked worried because he hated Kooks, especially Rafe and Topper. They hate each other and if they do something to you JJ would almost kill them.

“Yeah don’t worry, and besides I’m going to Mrs. Brown, her place is the closest from here.” You cupped and kissed his cheek, smiled. Then you left before he could say something. JJ just stayed there, trying to process what’s going on.

“Just date already, duh” John B said behind JJ. 

“What are you talking about?” JJ said quickly turning his back to John B.

“Isn’t it obvious that you guys like each other? Like seriously if i was someone outside, I would literally think you guys were a couple.” John B said minding his own business and encouraging his best friend. 

“You should confess her, there’s no way she would say ‘Oh JJ I don’t feel the same’ ” John B said with the impression of your voice.

JJ just stared at him for a second, got the things he need to deliver and left before they could talk. 

“Listen to my advice JJ!” John B shouted behind his back.

“Whatever you say Johnny Boy” JJ muttered himself. On the way, he thought if you liked him back. JJ she kissed you But that doesn’t mean she likes me arghh JJ thought to himself. 

Thankfully, any Kooks were there in JJ’s sight. He peacefully delivered the stuff Mr. Heyward gave and a bonus, he got 40 dollar tip. He thought about buying you a flower with this money because he wanted you to be happy.

You on the other hand while walking to Mrs. Brown’s house, you were peacefully walking and admiring the nature. You were thinking about JJ mostly. He’s so cute, Y/N STOP, he doesn’t like you back, what if your friendship would ruin because you kissed him? You panicked but your thoughts were interrupted when you heard a few guys and girls screaming your name.

“Wait isn’t that Y/N, JJ’s girl?” Rafe smirked.

“It looks like it” Topper with his devilish grin.

They slowly walked closer to you.

“Topper, Rafe stop, please just let me go.” You pleaded horror filling in your eyes.

“Don’t worry princess, we don’t live in a fairytale, so your prince JJ is not gonna save you.” Rafe mocked JJ, with the word “princess”. 

And without a minute, they started to punch you from everywhere, some girls also joined. They continued to punch you, hurt you, but you didn’t understand why they would do such thing when you literally did nothing to them.

On the HMS Pogue, everyone was there, waiting for you. The gang was getting worried because Mrs. Brown’s house was the closest of them all. JJ was getting worried the most. 

“I need to go find her.” JJ said worried, while couldn’t help but thinking the worst case scenario. 

“I’ll come with you.” Kie said ensure of herself. You were like a sister to her.

“Of course we’re coming too.” John B said, speaking for both Pope and himself.

JJ smiled at their friends - family not leaving his back. 

When they were walking they heard people shouting “HIT HER HIT HER!” constantly. They wondered whats going on so they went there. 

When the gang saw a familiar person getting beating up, they ran faster. And then they realized you were the person who was getting beaten up.

JJ realized this first and literally the second he realized he punched Rafe fastest as possible. He started to punch her. Slowly then the gang joined you. Kie got the girls, John B got Topper, Pope went to Kelce and JJ went to Rafe. You were already fainted but they kept fighting. When Rafe got beaten up really bad, and JJ was choking him, the gang stopped him because he was almost killed him.

After Rafe got hurt really bad, the kooks left the place. They shouted “FUCK YOU ASSHOLES DON’T MESS WITH THE POGUES AGAIN!” and ran to you.

You were laying down the ground not moving at all. JJ picked you up bridal style and ran to HMS Pogue to take care of you with medical supplies. 

You were so hurt, your face covered with blood. However, JJ was the same. He was so furious. He could have protected you in the first place. In the boat, you were still not opening your eyes, laying in the arms of JJ. The gang was pretty sad about you. JJ was almost crying and the gang could do nothing but hug him.

After a few minutes of emotional moments, you started to open your eyes and see four people bruised, puffy eyed hugging on you.

“Guys?” you mumbled. JJ looked at you in shock, hugged you so fast and started sobbing. 

“Y/N, you scared the shit out of me. You’re alive. You’re really alive.” He said like thousand times. You just smiled at how worried he was. He looked extremely cute. 

Kie noticed a special moment between you two. She nudged John B and Pope so they could understand.

“We’ll deliver this package to Mrs. Brown” Pope said. But you and JJ were too busy admiring each other to care. There was a short period of awkward silence but JJ decided to break the silence and let his feelings go. He remembered what John B told him before.

“Y/N?” He asked while you were still leaning on his lap bridal style.

“Yeah?” You looked up to him.

“I have something to tell you, and I hope you won’t get mad at me.” JJ said gulping.

You stood up to show him that you’re listening carefully.

“Argh okay, so umm” He couldn’t speak “I like you Y/N, so much and you were getting beaten up by Rafe, just made me almost kill him. I don’t know what you’re doing to me but you do.” You just stared at him, at a loss for words. JJ noticed your shock, and started to panic.

“I know you didn’t feel the s-” He was interrupted by your blooded lips, kissing his passionately.

The kiss was long, it was full of admiration and it was a way to show JJ you liked him back. 

When you pulled away, you couldn’t help but laugh. “Does this explain a lot Mr. Protector?” you asked. JJ smiled at your goofiness and kissed you again. This kiss wasn’t long as the last one but it was good as it was because they’re JJ’s lips come on!!

“So are you my boyfriend now?” You asked looking at him smiling.

“Yeah, you’re my girl. No one can hurt you, I’m here now” JJ said holding you close.

“YES FINALLY!” Pope shouted from the harbour.

“GO GO GO!” Kie shouted.

“You were talking about me giving the d, JJ right? Now it’s your turn bro”

Since, there was global pandemic going through the world you were with your family, stuck in your grandma’s house nearly 20 people including, your parents, cousins, siblings, aunts and uncles.

It has been almost 4 months since you’ve last seen Rudy. You were going to go to his house but the chaos cancelled all of your plans. You were deeply sad. Despite the fact that you guys were away, he made sure you’re okay and feeling fine. He sometimes called your cousins and siblings when you don’t pick up his calls. He always facetimed you at nights, he even made you a playlist to listen when you get bored. 

It was clear that he loved you. And you loved him back.

You guys weren’t public though. You didn’t want to tell everyone because you didn’t want to take all the attention on you and Rudy. Also you didn’t want crazy thirteen year old girls to insult you.

Today was a classic day and you were deciding a movie with your favorite cousin, Natalie

“What about Outer Banks?” Natalie asked, smirking while looking at you. You just smiled back and nodded. 

When you guys watched the show, you couldn’t help but let your tears pool in your eyes. Natalie just hugged you.

“I just miss him so much Nat. People don’t know that it’s weird, they can judge me but I don’t care. I don’t care if we’re public, I miss him. The sad thing is we couldn’t even really talk these days.” you said sobbing into Natalie’s shoulder. When the other cousins heard sobs coming from the room that you 6 of you share, they all ran up and hug you. They mumbled a few we love you’s and he loves you’s. Some of them almost cried. “Alright guys enough crying. I should go to toilet, i’ll be back and we’ll continue to watch OBX” you immediately went to bathroom before your relatives could see you.

“Okay guys make sure she’s in the bathroom!” Nat whisper yelled at your other three cousins where you guys share the room with. They made thumbs up and quickly called Rudy.

“Hi Natalie whats up?” Rudy asked excitedly. Instead of only Natalie saying hi, all five of your other cousins said hi.

“Wow all the Y/L’s, I see? Liam, Kai, Nina, Brooks and Natalie?” He said back.

“YEAH you guessed it right. Where you though?” Kai asked.

“Y/N cried again like five minutes ago when Nat and her watched OBX” Nina claimed.

“She misses you a lot you should be in the city right?” Brooklyn asked quickly.

“Did my gorgeous girl cried? Aww stop making me emotional and yesI’m on my way from the airport now, I’m so excited.” Rudy claimed between sniffling.

“So, you’re gonna open the live, publicly tell the world that you guys are dating and bla bla.. right?” Natalie asked making sure she knows everything so she can make everything according to the plan.

“Exactly. so-” While Rudy was talking you walked into the scene.

“Guys have you seen my phone? I’m gonna call Rudy and tell him that I’m going to airport, I’m sorry but I can’t stand this anymore.” You stormed into the room kicking and throwing the pillows everywhere looking for your phone. 

Rudy was extremely sad when he heard those words. He also felt the same and the love he was receiving from his girl made him so so happy.

All five cousins panicked and tried to find some excuses. 

“No Y/N, we have a curfew, please be patient more.” Liam asked.

You grumbled when Nina saw your grandma walking through the door frame. She immediately pulled you by the wrist and took you to your grandma. 

“Grandma Y/N wants to talk with you.” Nina smiled at her grandma, and she left before you could talk to Nina. You wondered what the heck is going on with all of them but you didn’t mind talking to your grandma. She made you tea and you guys sat together, gossiped about family drama. However she sensed some sorrow in your eyes

“Y/N, darling, what’s up with you today you seem blue?” You didn’t make an eye contact and had a silence for 1 minute and start talking.

“nothing grandma, I just miss him that’s all.” you looked at her and smiled. She smiled back and hug you. 

“Sweetie, that’s okay. You guys are in love just like me and your grandad. Don’t worru you’ll see him. I’m sure he misses you so bad too. By the way, can I be the bridesmaid in your wedding?” She asked excitedly, hoping that you’ll get married soon.

“Oh grandma slow down, we’re not getting married yet.” You returned the smile again. 

On the other hand, Rudy was rushing and trying to do the plan accordingly with the help of the cousins. “Liam and Kai, go distract her! Brooke, you’re gonna film everything. Nina you and I will be doing the rest.” Natalie explained. She was the oldest cousin and she was the leader.

When Rudy, parked beside your grandma’s house, he called you.

But you didn’t answer. A second later his phone buzzed, it was your number when he opened it was the sound of Kai.

“Hi Rudy we we’re playing uno. I’ll give the phone to her. And I missed you I wish we could see you” Kai said to Rudy pretending he doesn’t know the plan. While you were placing a card you noticed Kai was talking to Rudy on the phone. Just as you were going to get angry at him, you softened by his words. How much he missed him and how much he loves him. A second later Kai handed the phone to you.

“Hi baby. I’m doing a live can you join?” He asked quickly and happily before you could answer anything. You were quite shocked about his excitement but you were happy when he’s like that so you didn’t mind. 

“Yeah sure love”

“Yeah i love you” He closed the phone. And immediately opened instagram. Rudy opened the live and suddenly it became crowded. 

“Okay guys let me see if Y/N’s there, and yes. So there’s something I need to tell all of you.” He said gaining more and more watchers. There were lots of people watching including the OBX cast and you.

“There were so many rumors about my love life. That I was dating Madison. Hi to Madison by the way.” He chuckled to himself. “So those rumors, are not true, and I’m not single.” Everyone was spamming the chat. You were confused. Sitting in the table, focused on the phone. Was he announcing you guys? No, but wait he’s in a car?

“I’m sure you guys will love her.” He started to explain while he was getting out of the car and walking through a similar door entrance.

“She’s extremely sweet, most beautiful girl i’ve ever seen in my life. Kindest, most honest, the best girlfriend I could ever ask for. She makes my heart go crazy.” He continued to explain while Natalie slowly tugged you to go entrance room and you still didn’t notice him. Rudy continued walking, saw every other family relative and stopped for a second. And you were behind him.

“And that is Y/N L/N” He looked at you. You turned around and jumped into him. 

“You’re here! You’re here! You’re real!!” You mumbled while holding him so tightly. He smiled and kissed you passionately. The kiss was going on but soon you heard Liam and Kai’s growls and all the overprotectiveness from your family relatives saying “It’s enough”. Rudy realized that live is still on and people were going crazy but said a last thing.

“Meet the love of my life Y/N. Thank you for joining my live. Stay safe!” and then he closed the live.

Then he went to kiss and greet all the family members. They all loved him especially your grandma and your cousins. In the dinner, the uncles, your dad and your grandpa were getting kinda protective and asking questions to him but he didn’t care and eventually they warmed up, continued to talk. You had a lot of fun. You realized how lucky you were to have Rudy beside you.

After the enormous dinner and hanging out with the family it was the time to go to sleep. Everyone was going to sleep. Liam and Kai went first being the youngest ones. Brooks, Nina and Natalie went to watch movie privately. And so on everyone went to sleep, you and Rudy decided to go to hang out only together.

While everyone told you goodbye and you two went to your rooms too. 

You snuggled him closer in the bed and started talking. “You can’t even imagine how much you made me happy. I love you Rudy.

“Anything for you Y/N. I love you too. Now, say that I’m the best boyfriend ever.” he laughed smirking. You knew he would take the advantage of it.

“Rudy Pankow, you’re the best boyfriend that a girl could ever asked for”

You, Kie and Pope were on the car going to get JJ. Your boyfriend wasn’t answering your calls, and you were suspicious about it, cause come on. This was JJ Maybank.

“Yeah Y/N, chill. nothing’s gonna happen.” Pope added, looking at Kie. She looked at her back, smiling. You were being the third wheel.

“Okay guys stop with the lovey-dovey eyes. Just date already and please keep your eyes on road Pope! I wanna see my boyfriend asap!” You said while giggling. Kiara glared at you and Pope mumbled some curse words.

When you arrived at John B’s house, you left the car immediately to see your boyfriend. You had a long day and you missed him. When you were looking for him with Kie and Pope, you heard a loud melody.

“Hey baby! Kie, Pope! Come inside would you?” JJ asked.

“how much did you spend?” Pope asked.

When they realized they JJ spend the whole 25k, Kie and Pope started to yell and tell how dumb JJ is.

“What? Can’t a guy can have fun once in his life?” JJ said while standing up. While standing up you noticed the marks on his chest. You couldn’t help but run to the bathtub, not caring of anything, pushing Kie and Pope, hugging your boyfriend tightly. He sobbed and put his head into your shoulder.

“We’ll be in the car.” Kie said while tugging Pope’s hand to the car, leaving you and JJ alone.

While JJ continued to sob and hug you so tightly, you kissed his head and his temple. This made him much better. You holding him. While holding each other for five minutes, you decided to clean him up and help with his bruises.

“Y/N, no please. I’ll be okay” JJ claimed, sniffling his nose.

“No. NO NO baby. You’re coming with me.” You said so ensure. You and John B were cousins and your dads were lost, so you were living together. John B wasn’t home yet so it was all clear and you had plenty of time with JJ.

You got at home, let JJ sit on the couch, getting medical supplies. You were cleaning his wounds. It pained you up. While you were cleaning his wounds, JJ watched you. Your face, your hair, your eyes. Everything was perfect. He couldn’t believe you were his. His eyes started to fill with tears. You noticed his stare and current crying.

“Are you okay baby?” you asked JJ. He mumbled a “yes” while breaking the eye contact, cause if he looked at your eyes, he would breakdown and cry.

You were so sensitive while cleaning his wounds, it was hard because you loved him. You weren’t sure he loved you though. This made you pain even more. Seeing him very sad, you decided to tell him.

“JJ” you asked for his name.

“Yeah” JJ replied quietly.

“I want to tell you something.” You said looking at your hands. You stopped cleaning him. He looked at you so worried.

“I know, you think that no one loves you, and you have a right. But, I just wanted to say, I love you JJ. I am deeply in love with you and I know you don’t-” You were interrupted by JJ kissing you on the lips.

The kiss was soft and passionate. His lips were salty but you didn’t mind. 

“Y/N, I love you so much. Thank you. I don’t know what I would do without you.” JJ claimed with showing his emotions to his face and words.

You smiled so hard and JJ smiled back feeling like he’s in heaven.

By the night continued, you just slept in your bed and cuddled together.
