Oc highlights, pt. 4: Arya

Arya time :> One of my most important story ocs, this time being one of the protagonists in TOM. A fun fact about her is that originally the protagonist of TOM was supposed to be her now long-gone brother Coelum, but after I created Arya as his sister I ended up liking her a lot more, leading to me changing the story’s protagonist to be her. Coelum actually does still technically exist in TOM, but his role in the story has been changed quite a bit and he is no longer related to Arya.

So, as mentioned before, Arya exists in Towers of Magic, which is my most developed story/universe up to date. On the continent of Pampona, she lives in the small coastal town of Shoregrove with her adoptive mother Perry, her adopted sister Alice, and her caretaker Dengel. Arya has never seen the world outside of Shoregrove nor does she know who her parents are, leading to the girl feeling a sense of uncertainty and boredom about her current place in the world. Arya desperately wishes she could leave Shoregrove and finally be somebody, but is afraid of the consequences that would follow on her family, particulary Perry.
In terms of her personality, Arya is very bold and brash and typically feels a lot more than she thinks. Her impulses often get the best of her, as she is highly reactive and very impatient — other people may sometimes need to hold her down because of this. While she isn’t exactly selfish, she can very much be described as a bit self-absorbed due to the fact that she was raised as an only child by someone who clearly adores her more than anything; sometimes it is abundantly clear that Arya is not aware of how privileged she truly is. She isn’t really a bad person though, as Arya truly always believes she is doing the right thing — she can be a really loyal friend if actually given the chance.

Arya has some scars on her knees due to an accident that occured when she was a child.
She's a weatherer, which means she has a strong connection to the sky and its elements. This grants her the ability to control electricity.

Her character was created sometime around mid-2020.
She is of the chaotic good alignment.
