My parents are both sick, so I'm currently off of work to take care of them...hope they get better soon 😭 On a side note...WOW, next Monday it's already my birthday 🫡 ...Probably won't post much until I have a bit more of free time then 😅🫴
P.S: Saw this and wanted to fill it, but there were some spots left so I included some of my OCs ✍️✨ P.S2: Where Jeremy is it says "hungry", but since the font it's too small it can't be read properly :v
The Jarretts - Derek, Tanya, Maya, and Lola
(written bio under the cut)
Maria's family lives in Willow Creek. Derek is a stay-at-home dad while Tanya is busy doing who knows what as a covert operator in the military. The twins Maya and Lola miss Maria a lot and wonder why she never comes home from college for the holidays.
Lola would definitely bulldoze through a hedge maze. Even worse if it's one of those horror maze themed ones. No bystanders were harmed (many fainted though)
Would you be interested in telling me some oc lore?
-🌟
You bet I am!
So my oc's story takes place in a modern/futuristic setting.
The plot takes place in this city that is completely overun by monsters!
What happened: Before the city was built, the monsters laid dormant underground, the construction of the city is what disturbed the monsters from their rest and caused them to evoke havoc on the city.
That is why a large portion of the city is unfinished.(which makes great room for hide outs and criminal activity)
Though the existence of the monsters is kept away from public eye, this means no average citizen is aware of their existence.
Stage 1:
The thing with these monsters(stage 1) is that they are physically weak on their own.(that's why they were lying dormant, to conserve energy)
They need a host/body in order to complete themselves.
They are very simple minded and only act on one goal. Sentience at this stage is...debatable...
A monster taking over the hosts body is a gradual process, usual taking 3 years until visible signs start showing up.
The host is never aware of the monsters when they are at stage 1, but over time as the connection between the host and the monster grows, the monster can make it's presence known to the host either to torment the host or persuade them to give into the process.
At Stage 2:
The phenotype(physical characteristics) of the host begins to change. They may begin to sprout wings, grow horns, have extra limbs, etc. What physical characteristic that begins to change all depends on the monster.(The monsters are based of any animal, though other living organisms may present themselves)
At this point, the host is physically aware that something is wrong with them and may try to seek help, or hide themselves away.
This is where the government comes in!
At this point the government, decides to intervene and take these people away to facilities to avoid further casualty. This is to keep citizens unaware of the monsters and also because of what happens at Stage 3.
Stage 3:
The monster has completely taken over the host. Though they still maintain and outward humanoid appearance, the host is long gone.
Although something interesting happens!
As a result of the monster fusing together with the host, it displays the original personality and aspirations the host had before being taken over...to some degree...
Let's say a host had the desire to become a doctor. After the possession of the monster, the host will still try to pursue that desire, though the means by which they obtain it are less than savory...(they may try to kill any individual that comes in their way of said goal)
To put it simply, the monster can twist the persons desires but is still compelled to perform or act on them (even if it can be a bit annoying)
Same thing applies for personality. Personality can become more hostile, mischievous or uncanny.
It is important to note the the original person is no more, and there is currently no known way on how to bring them back.
(The monster can in some cases of stage 3, have some fragments or complete memories of the host)
Stage 4:
Not every individual has a smooth transformation from person to Stage 3 monster.(I really don't know what to call the monsters)
If the body of the host is too unstable for the monster, then the host can transform into a more beastly like appearance.
For most individuals possessed by the monsters, this is unfortunately the case.
All sense of sentience is gone from the creature for it merely acts on instinct. It is a great danger to the general population and can cause immense destruction.
Though in the rarest of cases, some Stage 4 monsters do maintain their sentience. They are dangerous in a much more different way though. They are very smart and know how to manipulate a situation to their own favour.
In order to try and keep this a secret, the government made a deal with this type of Stage 4 monsters. (I have not yet thought of the deal...) This means this specific type of Stage 4 is kept under tight security in underground laboratories.
That's like a general overview of the world my oc's live in!
Here is some miscellaneous:
●Some Stage 2 can hide their physical characteristics.
●Not all Stage 3 monsters are hostile(Most are even unaware of the fact that there was an original person before them)
●The intelligent Stage 4 monsters are kind of eldritch? (Not sure)
●An organization has been formed to deal with the Hostile Stage 4 monsters.
●Castor is at stage 2(More info on him later
●Anansi is at stage 3
●Lola is...human...
So yeah! This is where Lola, Castor,(I need to change that name...) and Anansi live in. Thank you for the ask!
