Music for The Silver Chronicles and my OC Raphael's revenge quest against the Arachnoids. An OC Picrew for my OTP Boa Lurking In The Bliss and an OC Meme Template for a few Life, Despair & Monsters OCs & canon characters. Listen and view below the cut:
First song is for my OC Raphael, a blind swordsman on a revenge quest against the Arachnoids that eradicated almost all life on his Earth and mined out its minerals to make more of their Exterminators, leaving the world dead. Raphael was sequestered away into a dream by a Paragon known as Raza, where Raphael meets Ijichi, and they vow to aid each other in their own journeys, starting with Raphael's fight against Arraknis and the Arachnoids.
"Bring on your forces of nature, mhm
Bring on the storms that's ragin', mhm
And if you get lost in the shadows
There's a fire inside you
That'll be the light that guide you
Come on, carry your flame
Carry it higher
Even in the darkness
Carry your torches
Come on, carry your flame
Set the night on fire
Even in the darkness
Carry your torches!"
Next song is elaborating further on Silva & Paul's deteriorated and doomed adoptive father/daughter relationship that starts from La Última En Pie throughout to Old Dusk. To give a bit of history and context: Silva Omar is the daughter of Father Adam Omar, a self-proclaimed prophet and head of the Congregation at Adam's Guard, a Congregation that ties its foundation on puritanism and colonialism in the Spanish and English, with its own military of Enforcers (hence the "Guard"). Around the age of 10-11, Silva eventually ran away from Adam for being a) a sack of shit, and b) homicidal towards her, and was crossing a bridge to the Minas (the Mines that held a mining colony the Congregation was oppressing into work), where she was intercepted by her father's Enforcers and forced to take her chances in the freezing water running under the bridge. She'd almost drown if it weren't for Paul Yellowjack, who was passing by the stream Silva was swept up in, saving her life and after a day or so gaining her trust, would bring her deeper into the Minas, back to his home where he'd share his rations of food and water and get her cleaned up, heated and dressed. From there, due to Paul's unwavering and unconditional kindness without expectation of something in return, Silva would grow very much attached to him as a new parental figure, since all she's ever gotten was Adam "subtly" trying to murder her at every chance he got. Silva and Paul would develop a mutual and acknowledged father/daughter relationship, and they'd be the ones to work together in raising up the Tumultite Community into a revolt against the Congregation and its oppression, utilizing Silva's knowledge of the Congregation's capitol in order to better sway public sympathy, support and also push back against the Enforcers who usually invaded the Minas to bully or even murder the community members. However, Silva and Paul get separated during the Tumultite Massacre, an unexpected mass murder event from just about everyone except for Adam and his Captain of the Enforcers, Oscar Lapis, whom the latter conceived the plan while the former decided to approve it (uncaring towards the long-term impact this would have on the Congregation and its capitol's longevity since the Minas was the only source of coal and minerals they required to sustain their city from the horrible blizzards on the Archipiélagos, and they just killed off all of their cheap labor & inadvertently destroyed the knowledge passed down from generation to generation on how to navigate the Minas). Silva escapes the Archipiélagos on boat with her infant daughter and younger half-sister, Persephone & Elsa respectively, while Paul manages to find his way off too, both believing the other to have died in the aftermath. Silva winds up with her small family in Hope County, Montana, where she lives a relatively regular life for once helping to run her sister's floristry (even after Elsa dies) while raising her daughter, meanwhile Paul wanders for a while internalizing all the wrong things until he receives "The Call" from the Orchestrator, Zachariah, whom convinces Paul to serve the deity. Paul, with nothing to live for, accepts Zachariah's Call and goes on to found and develop the Apostles of Zachariah, adopting five other Apostles to help run the cult, bringing in new members by force and oppressing the vulnerable, something Paul acknowledges makes him no better than Adam and his Congregation and making all Adam proclaim about him to end up true in the end, something Paul hates about himself but has dug himself too deep to care anymore.
The turning point of this would be when Silva and Paul reunite in La Última En Pie, where Paul fails to convince Silva to join the Apostles and then kidnaps Persephone to force Silva on a wild goose chase around the globe and to witness the Apostle's immoral operations, which would lead to said operations being destroyed and Silva confronting Paul which in turn leads to him murdering Persephone (out of stress, panic, delusional & misplaced sense of disproportionate retribution or even some push from Zachariah's influence over Paul will remain unclear, ultimately what matters is that he murdered Persephone). Any love, any sense of diplomacy Silva was willing to spare for Paul was lost in that action, and Silva would corner Paul in a warehouse in Chicago where she'd kill him. Through the years to come after La Última En Pie, well into Silva's Hope, Paul's actions still affect her, but she also mourns the father he was to her, the sole adult she adult and supporter she thought understood her as well as she understood him. This struggle over reflection gets even more complex when, for a second time, Silva and Paul reunite in Old Dusk, over two decades after daughter put down father, still on opposing sides: Silva & her family aiding both Prosperity & (reluctantly) New Eden, while Paul aids Mickey & Lou with the Highwaymen in the shadows, looking even worse for wear and yet not seeming like he's aged a day since Silva killed him.
Although I mainly attribute this song more towards Paul than Silva:
"Telling myself I won't go there
Oh, but I know that I won't care
Tryna wash away all the blood I've spilt
This lust is a burden that we both share
Two sinners can't atone from a lone prayer
Souls tied, intertwined by our pride and guilt
There's darkness in the distance
From the way that I've been livin'
But I know I can't resist it
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
You and I drink the poison from the same vine
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
Hidin' all of our sins from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
Tellin' myself it's the last time
Can you spare any mercy that you might find
If I'm down on my knees again?
Deep down, way down, Lord, I try
Try to follow your light, but it's nighttime
Please don't leave me in the end
There's darkness in the distance
I'm beggin' for forgiveness
But I know I might resist it, oh
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
You and I drink the poison from the same vine
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
Hidin' all of our sins from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
You and I drink the poison from the same vine
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
Hidin' all of our sins from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time!"
And lastly the unreleased version of "Amazing Grace" from Far Cry 5 for my FC5 WIP called Silva's Hope. As a series, the core themes of The Silver Chronicles is (1) exploring cycles of trauma and violence (as well as largely, ways to break or escape said cycles) and (2) each main character (or minor character even) regaining something they've previously lost. Silva's Hope main themes are, well, Hope primarily, and for Silva's character herself, she is regaining that hope PLUS her faith. A faith she can have in something, or perhaps more accurately for Silva, someone. A faith and hope she lost to her upbringing under her father Adam Omar and the loss of her community, her adoptive father, her sister & her daughter, each loss a detriment on her self-perception and ability to healthily view herself in reaching a tomorrow, in a sense.
"Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now I see!"
Here is an OC Picrew for my main OTP of Silva's Hope, Boa Lurking In The Bliss, otherwise known as my Silva Omar x Faith Seed ship [ALSO HAPPY PRIDE!]:
And here is an OC Template for the highschoolers of the Renegades (& honorary members) as they either attend education for normal reasons or stalk a person to convince them to join their "Kill Sir Enigma Malvolio" Club:
From left to right, top to bottom are the canon (& two OC characters):
Monika, who is Haoyu Anabuki's half-sister in You Make My Heart Go Doki Doki Literature Club!
Enid Sinclair, whose been marked by the Grimm Reaper and is forced into helping the Ruins of the Midnight Rise due to Wednesday's interference in Word of Woe.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng, otherwise known as Ladybug, who befriends Icarus Galatos and his alters, especially as Lila takes influence over more of the class during Miraculous Miracles.
Icarus Galatos, a Chinese foreign exchange student with two other alters (Hatsukami & Xavier) + being the avatar for an interdimensional maneating fungus creature called Hatter.
Adrien Agreste, otherwise known as Chat Noir, also befriends Icarus and has a particularly close bond with Hatter.
Luka Couffaine, a guitarist who is also secretly the hero Viperion, and a love interest in Miraculous Miracles.
Haoyu Anabuki, the main protagonist and de-facto leader of the Renegades, as well as half-sibling of Monika.
Sydney Novak, a depressed, closeted and angry teen with telekinesis.
Natsuki, a manga-loving club member of the Literature Club who gets brainwashed into helping Malvolio's Ruins of the Midnight Rise. At least she's still got Yuri with her.
Sayori, the vice-president of the literature club who seems a little lost on most days, whom also gets brainwashed by Malvolio but is rescued by the Renegades much earlier than Natsuki and Yuri.
Yuri, a particularly quiet bookworm who enjoys more mature novels in the Literature Club, she's unfortunately brainwashed by Malvolio to help the Ruins of the Midnight Rise... at least she's still got Natsuki.
Wednesday Addams, having been reluctantly forced into working with Malvolio and the Ruins of the Midnight Rise in Word of Woe, looks for any escape she can for both herself and Enid, that also doesn't include returning to where the Grimm Reaper awaits her werewolf companion.
Kagami Tsurugi, a fencer and secretly the heroine Ryuko, is also a love interest in Miraculous Miracles.
Saw this template by txtdariocs on Twitter and had to do it... Noa as various things! 🥀✨
Flower - A dead yet still vibrant rose. I personally love keeping flowers long after they've gone, and the thought of something as beautiful as a rose being preserved and possibly even to the naked eye appear to still be alive is super appealing when comparing it to how we might view a youthful-appearing vampire.
Weather - A enveloping and silent fog. A slow creep in, the muffling of surrounding sounds, a feeling of isolation even when you know the regular world is still so close. That is what it's like to be alone with her.
Color - Dusty pink. Girlish and fun, but the color is more dull than the traditional way. A more mature view of the color!
Food - Pan de Muerto, or bread of the dead, which is usually made during the Dia de los Muertos holiday. Noa in life didn't really eat much, being raised in a house of open vampires, but this bread is still meaningful in the eyes of a necromancer who values life above all things.
Beverage - Aside from her favored blood, I feel like Noa would have been a big pomegranate juice drinker. Aside from it being nummy and a beautiful color, she would definitely like how it symbolizes the underworld... because drama.
Object - A letter wrapped in ribbon. Noa is quiet, reflective, and perhaps carries herself better on paper when she has the time to get her thoughts all out. She might seem secretive, but with the right tugging you could know it all... given that she gives you the means to read her thoughts herself that is!
Place - I always picture Noa as a girl frozen in time, so I imagine her bedroom and the place she would be as a preserved room in some older home. Maybe a teenager's bedroom that the parents never changed when she went away for one reason or another. But I imagine Noa as almost a walking time capsule, and so would she be as a place. You walk in and you think "this is old and we don't do things like this anymore," but you also feel like you stepped into a bubble of time where things may revert the second you leave.
Animal - Noa is a dog through and through, and the idea of a doberman with the clipped ears is extra fitting. She is endless and unyielding ferocity and loyalty and only wants the same treatment back. She doesn't think the trust a dog would give should be taken advantage of - a lot of people who say "loyal like a dog" would usually follow up the line with a kick to its gut - but not Noa. She would want to be worthy of such boundless adoration, because that's all she wants to give as well.
