Panko’s beautiful mama, the scourge of the Spire Sea, dread of Ghost Spit, ooak doll enthusiast:

Trilly the Leviathan.

Trilly is notably large for a leviathan but loves being near inhabited land and she’s making it everyone’s problem

Trilly started out like an other leviathan, living in the deep dark sea, but in her youth she wandered out the water and lived some years with land-dwellers. She moved back eventually, but always kept an affinity for the creatures. To cope with her desire, Trilly crafts dolls upon which she magically projects her mind in order to wander the civilized world.

Despite her relation with the affairs of land, Trilly sticks to her nature and prefers to keep out of politics and such. When an insurrectionist sought her allegiance… it didn’t end well.

Have a bunch of new character to make refs for

It horrified folks to learn that the Leviathan of Ghost Spit reproduced, but at least Panko seems much more approachable than his mama.

He has two more siblings who I’ll make refs for eventually.

Panko is about the size of a car and is generally a quiet fellow, so sometimes it’s a bit difficult to read him. Doesn’t help that he often has an “atavistic” face (creepy, dead-eyed stare that Micelia associate with prehistory)

Brainstorming for an art redux assignment

obviously “omnivorous” is a pretty versatile word, but like— is there a specific term for being able to eat stuff like inorganic materials? Like some fungus can?

figuring out arrangement... any thoughts?

Micelia are omnivorous, so although hunting for sea critters is convenient for Panko he technically doesn’t need to be GOOD at it, but I gave the one variation leopard seal/predator camouflage. Plus dude is like the size of a car at his current stage in life and is set to only grow.

Both sophonts on Wither-World are known for their lovely manes, but Micelia have the little trait where they get extra fluffy when having kids. The new pups thus have a better place to cling onto and stay warm (although the extra volume can stay for a year or so onwards of the pup outgrowing it).
