Aideen is unlike most Parthurnaax-aligned Dovahkiin in that she doesn't hate Delphine. She doesn't sympathize with her either, simply because she doesn't usually think in-depth enough to consider where folks are coming from when they pull shitty stunts.

Aideen's attitude towards Delphine (post-Parthurnaax) is, hilariously, kind of like a student's reaction to a teacher they once got in big trouble with and are still wary around. Aideen's juvenile ass sees Delphine and the immediate feeling is "OH SHIT it's that lady who's still mad at me this is SO AWKWARD."

(To clarify she's DEFINITELY not Greybeard-sympathetic, she just doesn't think Parthy deserves to die pretentious or no)

Oc tidbit: Kaipo and therapy

Writing about this here because it's becoming immediately canon. Kaipo would have a therapist. Would have BEEN seeing a therapist. Solely for the fact they lost both their parents at a young age, and their aunt and uncle would have felt it necessary in case Kaipo didn't take it too well to be adopted by them.

I feel tho I'd need to do some research on child psychology and what exactly Kaipo would talk to their therapist about. It'd also just be a lil funny for them to clock that Kaipo is keeping secret about their learned magic (but they can't pry cuz decency and professionalism, they just sense a tinge of magic on Kaipo).

One for sure thing, is that they'd talk about their panic over Pacifica having tried to run away, and how they haven't slept right since then.

Also random tidbit: sometimes, just for kicks, Ash and Em will just show up to Iris’s house, claim they are time travelers, predict a bunch of things that will happen the next day/week, tell her she is the chosen one, and send her on some crazy quest to keep her busy for a few years. Nine times out of ten it works, but Holly usually dies anyway, so it’s not really worthwhile. They find it incredibly funny, though.

I had seen a prompt that said "if someone was impersonating your oc, what would friends/family ask them to do to prove it was them?"

And I can just imagine like, Pacifica and Kaipo doing impressions of the others, and eventually everyone join in.

Pacifica would puff out her chest, stand tall, and clasp Kaipo by the shoulder saying "Good work kid. I'm real proud of ya." And no one's able to guess who of the group acts like that, asking "Is that someone's dad?!" And then she's all "What- it's Finnick!" Then they all "ooooh" in realization.

And Orabella would be like "well he does kinda act like a dad"

To which Finnick is all "Wha-! But I'm barely that much older than you guys."

And Pacifica hits back with "well you act like you're 20"

And then he cries in a corner because he's two years off from 20, and that they already see him as old, meanwhile Gen is patting his back solemnly.

I always go on about how much thought i put into names. Well, here's what they mean:

Pacifica: peacemaker | Origin: Latin

Verity: truth | Origin: Latin

Kaipo: sweetheart/darling | Origin: Hawaiian

Dante: everlasting | Origin: Latin

Orabella: beautiful gold | Origin: Italian

Everard: brave boar | Origin: English

Finnick: farmland* | Origin: English*

Edgar: rich spear | Origin: English

Gen: spring | Origin: Japanese

Jackelyn/Jacky: supplanter | Origin: Hebrew/English/French

*behindthename is down, and most other sites don't have a clue as to origin, and the closest meaning is as such.

I remember when making the soul kids, i wanted names to reflect their trait, so it makes sense for Verity and Kaipo. But the others were meant to be ironic as they skewed slightly from their traits. Everard was a scaredy cat, Pacifica didn't make peace, and Dante gave up often. Orabella was just for fun.

And as for the add-on kiddos, i searched for names within their own ethnicities- meaning Gen has Japanese ancestry. Their meanings didn't have to have as much impact.

Now as for last names, in order:

P. Vazquez: (derived from) crow | Origin: Spanish

V. Royals: royal | Origin: English

K. Makana: gift (from god) | Origin: Hawaiian

D. Healy: high clearing | Origin: Irish

O&E. Cooper: barrel maker | Origin: English

F. Judd: to flow down | Origin: English/Hebrew

E. Paduch: robber* | Origin: Polish*

G. Palmeiro: (cleric who carries) palm branch | Origin: Portuguese

J. Bolívar: riverbank | Origin: Spanish

With last names, i generally just went for names commonly used within each person's ethnicity. Pacifica and Jacky have Spanish last names, Gen is Portuguese, Kaipo is Hawaiian, Dante has an Irish last name. The others i was more free to pick their last names, because 1)white, and 2) American black. And with the second group, i made sure their last names specifically began with their traits as soul kids. Bolívar for Bravery, Paduch for Patience, Judd for Justice, Palmeiro for Perseverance.
